When zabuza lays face down on the bridge, with the swords in his back, Naruto try’s to look away, but Kakashi tells him, “don’t look away. It’s the end for a man who lived fiercely” Kakashi knows Naruto needs to get used to this. He will see a lot more blood shed, and death as a ninja. He needs to face that head on. He also needs to remember a ninja fighting and dying on his own terms.
Severly underrated channel, death in Naruto is one of the most hard hitting things, easiest example would of course be Jiraiya. You deserve more subs than me by a mile. I really liked this video, good job
Thanks so much for the kind words bro! I really appreciate the love and support! You keep doing what you're doing too! Checked out your channel not too long ago and I'll be sticking around for the future! (I'll be looking out especially for more demon slayer videos like your Zenitsu video!)
Ahaha thank you!! A part of the community can be very unreasonable and embarrassing at times, but thankfully we're not all like that :) Thank you for sticking around and showing some support!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'll try my best with future uploads! :) I came across HotBoySpicy's videos not too long ago and they're great! He definitely deserves a lot more recognition.
People underestimate how often characters die in Naruto. A friend of mine always dreaded a conflict because he was scared one of his favorite characters would die.
I mean..... lets see: I am only counting the good guys cus the bad guys die in droves.(ALL of Akatsuki, ALL of Orochimaru's lackeys , Haku, Zabuza etc) Hiruzen(Naruto OG) Asuma Jiraya Neji Honestly not that many when it comes to good guys, right?(Ofc some died by Pain, but they got revived)
@@shadowpriest2574 Haku is not a bad guy. And you're forgetting Shikaku, Inoichi, Chiyo and possibly more. And even the bad guys dying was always written in a way that made it extremely impactful. And I would consider kid Obito's "death" a death of a good guy.
@@xaero96 I agree , but most of the good guys you mentioned were not as relevant as those I mentioned . Chiyo's death also comes at the expense of Garra's . I agree with the rest .
A great video! Really good editing you've got, I like the themes you bring up and everything. I'm really liking Naruto more these days since I remember the themes of war, and it was handled good, but it had its flaws, it has tiny plot holes, still love the series emotionally and because of the story, but I have critiques about the final few ares, and some of the starting Shippuden arcs.
I'm completely on the same wavelength as you. It's not a perfect series, far from it, but it does have a lot of great themes implemented within the story that still solidifies its spot with some of the best shonen manga out there. Unfortunately, it feels like at times the low points of Naruto get brought up more than the positives, giving the series a not so great reputation. But the world would be boring if everyone thought the same way anyway :) Thank you for watching the video and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the support!
@@Mikeyuubi you're right, totaly agree. I was done with Naruto few years ago, and never really dived back into it, but as of recently I'm considering re-reading the story since I feel like now I would notice even more details that I didn't years ago. Thematically, OG Naruto up till Sasuke leaves the leaf village, it's one of my favorite stories ever, and I saw so much room for growth, I'm glad it explored a lot more heavy themes in Shippuden, but I think that start of shippuden should have been somewhat of a different story, like maybe shortening the first arc and letting some other characters shine in that arc besides the main cast. So the following arc would be the rest of the jinchuriki meeting up alongside a kage summit, that way we can explore other characters, see what they were like, because we don't learn a thing about these jinchuriki, they just die. This way it'd be just a hard hit every time one of them were killed off. I know it might change a lot of shippuden that way, but sounds likr a fun idea to me at least. Anyways keep making your content good, much respect for your work.
@@NorthernWind_Vlll For sure! Re-reading Naruto would most definitely be worth your time! I too have a problem with the start of Shippuden (the first 2 arcs) for certain reasons here and there, but mainly due to the pacing. Thankfully the manga holds these arcs together much stronger than the anime in comparison, so it should feel like a much better experience when you get to that portion! I agree about wishing we saw more of the lives of each jinchuriki within the story. I'm assuming Kishimoto was more focused on building up the Akatsuki more than anything for the first half of Shippuden, hence why most of the members get introduced through killing a Jinchuriki super fast to show how much of a threat they are, the focus always being more so on the Akatsuki rather than the Jinchuriki. The anime has tried to add onto this though by giving some Junchuriki like Utakata an arc of his own. It's as good as a filler arc can be, but nothing special. But like you said, would of been great if there were more interactions with the rest in a similar fashion to Naruto and Gaara's paths crossing with one another. Hope you enjoy the re-read whenever you start! And thanks for the support!
@@Mikeyuubi completely agree, I'm giving you a sub haha Definetly think you're right, it only bothers me how every Jinchuriki has such a unique design and yet none were fleshed out as characters, I would love to see a little bit of backstory for every single one, I'm not sure if you read/watched JJBA, but the author definetly successfully introduces a compelling backstory for every character and it brings them closer to the viewer, similar to Gaara's backstory and it didn't take much at all of the manga, so, that's a very successful technique in his writing. I'll be probably reading Naruto when I'm done with Vagabond. Thanks for this conversation, it's very grounded, I'm looking forward to your future content!
I always thought Naruto was one of the best anime and mangas at depicting heartbreaking deaths that really, really hurt to watch. Unlike something like Dragon Ball where it’s kinda hard to take death seriously, Naruto was always one to tug at the heartstrings with how devastating a lot of them are. I’d say probably the saddest is Jiraiya’s death, but a lot of others are sad too like Zabuza and Haku, Asuma, Neji, Minato and Kushina, Itachi, Nagato and Obito. And a lot of that is because of how well written and developed Kishimoto made them to make us invested in the characters that it hurt all the more when they died. And it does have some of the saddest deaths in all of anime. Personally, I think the absolute saddest death in anime is Ace from One Piece, but there’s a ton here too.
I understand what you're saying :) But thankfully for me I never found it as big as an issue as others. Edo tensei was never a permanent thing and characters were always going to stay dead at the end of the day, with the only acceptation being rinne-rebirth at the end of the pain arc
I don't get it when people says "Naruto shippuden has worst deaths", I mean it's a ninja world bro. We got the glimpse of it in Naruto's 1st arc. And personally saying that there deaths were not a good thing to do is like they didn't understant what the author and that character is trying to say. And series like naruto if you didn't kill them when author decided they gonna have miserable life(like lee and neji )
For the most part, yes! But I have videos planned that focus on other series (Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, etc.) to branch my content out a bit more. Naruto has always been the series I'm most familiar with in terms of themes, ideologies, etc., so I started with it since I find Naruto very easy (for me personally since I grew up with it) to talk about :)
Characters that were brought back with Edo Tensei were always going to stay dead at the end once the conflict was resolved. I wouldn't say the deaths that led up to them being resurrected once more doesn't under value their importance beforehand, especially since most of the characters that were brought back were just used as puppets without truly being their selves (looping back to the first arc of ninjas being used as tools and nothing else when placed on the battlefield). That's my opinion on it anyway, so for me I was fine with it :) Glad you liked the video though!
