I have the same 1985 '560' frame. I bought it as a bare frame and built it up with various components. I rode it for a few years and then dismantled it. I used the parts to build a bike that was more my size - a bit larger. But, I never forgot the way it rode and handled. So, even though it's a bit small for me, but I'm going to build it back up and ride it. Thanks for this interesting presentation. I admire your dedication as a hardened cyclist.
I just picked up a '88 560 from the original owner. Spent the last week cleaning, polishing and servicing, including new tires. It is a joy to ride around town!
@@breathestrongcycling3672 Yes it's all 105 and works fine. Oddly mine does not have the sticker on the seat tube denoting which tubing they used. It only has the CROMO stickers on the fork blades. The 560 is noticeably lighter than my Trek 400.

Nice. Does it still have the 105 shimano? They changed the steel to true temper from the 501 on mine according to vintage trek website

That's a beautiful bike. I keep hoping I'll find one my size for a reasonable price. Love the older True Temper steel Treks!
Beast. Love the blue and yellow contrast and patina you got going
Thanks Dariusz. It must have been a stunning bike when it was new and shiny. Happy to be the caretaker of this one 👍
Great vid. But you almost broke me at "I paid 8,000" but that comes out to $140 American. Good price and it looks like a cool old bike.
