Do you know if this was really just Xu Bin's idea to use the popularity of their BL to market an album together with Jiong Min? I am so curious how much the government interferes with actor success, especially in the area of BL. Jiong Min seems to be able to travel quite a bit which means he is able to communicate and access information and social media that isn't censored by Chinese propoganda.
I don't know why they decided to form a group together, but I know from the bts clips they both have a love for music. I'd like to think they formed a group together bc they share the same passion and work together so well 🥰 The fact that SWM was released internationally only and was low key probably helped slip any real govt scrutiny. I think Jiong Jiong always liked to travel privately so he's more aware of things happening in Thai/kr etc and both he and xb have insta, but that's ABT it for international sm. He's not as big as some other actors, so he prob is freer to express himself. Still, you can tell all celebrities are quite careful about what they post on weibo
