Growing up I went to a very conservative Christian School here in the south. My 5th grade class had won some contest and we got to go have lunch at a local Pizza Hut. I was looking at all the "devils music" on the juke box and I saw Rod Stewarts Hot Leggs......so just goofing around I punched the numbers for it. To my surprise (and shock) it started spinning....next thing I know Hot Leggs is blasting the Pizza Hut. I didn't get to eat pizza....had to sit on the bus while the other kids had pizza, then when we got back to the school, I had to go to the principals office and I got a paddling......5 painful swings to my butt.....all for playing Hot Leggs at the Pizza Hut......it was worth it. I'd do it again.

I love the early Rod Stewart stuff best because its set to this early 70's guitar driven classic rock in all its glory. And his voice sounds so good over it.

Only saw him once but dang! Paid good money for those seats … never sat down!!! His songs are so catchy and we just partied. Dancing in the aisles, Rod was just tickled about the big party. The stage had a center through the arena and he just danced with us. He does this punk rock pogo hop. So fun. I love artists that come to the audience. He came down in the aisle with us. At 77, he can still sing perfect pitch and has turned on that crooner vibe. He’s aged well. ❤️❤️❤️

Since you are here, try listening to The Faces. It was a band that Rod fronted before he went solo. A couple of famous folks in that band, Kenny Jones who went on to replace Keith Moon playing drums for The Who and the guitarist is Ronny Wood who later joined the Rolling Stones and is still there. My favorite song from The Faces is Stay With Me. It's a banger.

I just saw Rod Stewart in concert in St Paul, MN last Friday. At 77, he still puts on a great show.
Must listen to: "You're In My Heart" "Sailing" "The First Cut Is The Deepest" "The Killing of Georgy" "I Was Only Joking"

Especially "First Cut...", which is a cover of a Cat Stevens song, but Rod owns it!

If you want to hear Rod Stewart’s greatest ballad it’s called, I was Only Joking…it’s got beautiful acoustic guitar and an amazing electric guitar solo, great lyrics. It’s his best song of all.

I had 'Forever Young' played at my younger brothers funeral in 2020, we were very close and best friends too.He came with me to see Rod a few times and was a fan like me...this track i'm sure he'd have been ok with as he shall not grow old and will remain forever young.......Hot Legs a fine raunchy track to this day

Great rock n roll tune from the 70's. I was 8 or 9 when this came out and i remember feeling like it was a heavy hitting tune when i first heard it. I've loved it ever since... I enjoy watching y'all dig this music.
The end always makes me laugh. Honeeeey! The music sounds like it's made for a lady strutting her stuff or a model walking the cat walk. He had his share of tall or long legged woman and little one too. LOL Oh Rod.

Hot Legs is the first cut on Rod’s classic album “Footloose and Fancy Free.” IMHO, the best rock album ever recorded. Each cut is better than the last!

Asia & BJ, You really need to see Rod Live, although in his late 60's you will definitely enjoy it! Some of his ballads from the early 70's to now are terrific, Youre in my heart, I don't want to talk about it & I was only joking. One of his best concerts which you can get on video was his Live at the Albert Hall, in London.
I’m a child of the 70s so I grew up listening to Rod store. My mom freaking loved this man and so do I. But I’m gonna tell you what back in the day and honestly even till this day Rod Stewart as sexy as hell. You should’ve reacted to the official video you need to react to more videos I know that you do the lyrics to see what this song is about but there’s a reason why they do videos and this song is amazing in video.

Rod can be a bit overlooked these days, but his voice and attitude are great. :)
Rod started off with Jeff Beck's group, then joined Faces, and eventually headlined. He tended to keep friends with him along the way. Long after he went solo, he teamed up with Jeff Beck again to do a cover of "People Get Ready," which is a gospel song that became a hit. Ronnie Woods, who went with him from Beck's group to Faces ended up joining the Rolling Stones.
Rod joined the Dimensions in 1963 then in 64 he joined Long John Baldry’s band after Long John discovered him busking at a railway station, before joining Jeff Beck love Rod seen him 4 times x
Faces was Rod Stewart's band, and they have great songs one standout is "Bad 'n' Ruin".
