Absolutely wonderful video, tutorial and interview- what a gift to us all. Thank you and thank you for having Bernard Foccroulle on to extract that inspired message and analogy hidden away for hundreds of years in the suites: Bach's gift as to how to handle our present day challenges as if inserting a time-capsule to help us find God's presence within.
What a pitty i didn't see it live! Thank you very much, it was very helpful, specially the information about bars 37-45
Ah! Finally I reach this piece in my cello journey, and I feel lost... but you are there with golden insights and bare feet to relax me. Thank you! And please come back to Charlottesville when you can! Maybe I will understand this piece by then.
I just love him, that phrasing is perfect ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos, all the very BEST
All this information is amazing, thanks for sharing ...
Amazing Gihen!! . Thanks alot for this Valius Video about this prelude in C - dur. In my opinión the most dificult to give a nice interpretation. Bravo 👏🏼 !.
Thanks you so much for this informative video! I’ve learned a lot! 🙏 Could you talk more about the Bowings you use in the prelude of the 3rd suite? I feel like “baroque” Bowings (like the ones in the manuscript) doesn’t work well with my 20th century cello…. Thank you ♥️
Doesn’t the fifth prelude also have a dominant pedal that doesn’t immediately go into the final cadence? It’s interesting that it’s such a unique moment, but Bach seems to do the same thing in the same set of suites.
So lame.
lame?
@@PlanetZ1 Even worse than lame: just dull.
