- Red Kart gets her first rip! We've all waited long enough, its time to get some testing in. We put the ungoverned Hemi Predator 420cc engine through its paces with some on and off road riding, and even drag raced Big Bob's kart to settle the score once and for all. Not too shabby for a test drive video 😉

@@TyranisCustoms i got my wife’s old mini bike running two months ago, since then i’ve gotten a baja bug and manco thunderbird with 212s, a chopper frame, 3 clone engines, a gx390, and a yerf dog i have to go dig out the bushes when i get home. I work 30 days away from home so all i can do is watch the good content til im back home to my toys! so keep it coming!

Looks and sounds pretty damn sick guy's love it! I'm in the middle of putting together a 570cc Briggs vanguard for a Turbo application in my Ezgo TXT that's been heavily modified with a 2 stroke drive train at the moment, but I really want the torque and pull of a turbo engine. Thought it be pretty different, I've seen street bike engines on almost every golf cart build if not sled engines, bla, bla, bla! Does nothing for me, I have to be a loan Wolf and need the break from the norm or easy route of engineering. The engines brand new totally torn down to a bare block being machined to except the extra HP and torque aluminum gussets, a 12V stand alone crank trigger ignition system with nothing but a flat disc of billet aluminum for a flywheel, billet rods and hard coated anodized billet pistons to handle the extra heat and pressures of boost to just begin. Go Big or Go Home I believe is the saying LMFAO! Being a engineer and drag racer, who built 10 second naturally aspirated SBC's I'm done laying under Cars now and dealing with big heavy parts! It's much more fun to build something no one else has I feel lol! Keep up the amazing work guys love your builds! It's a inspiration to me that I'm not the only nut on the tree! Lol!

Sickkkk! We are running a 7:1 ratio after the 40 series torque converter so she does pretty well off the line, just not a ton of top end 🤷🏻
@@TyranisCustoms I just got a 301 predator, it only has a air filter, bigger carb jet, and a homemade long tube header. I haven’t gone into the engine yet. Soon I’ll be building an independent front suspension that’ll make the front sit low low and help with some weight transfer
Fun Video! It looks like you have good acceleration. What was your top speed? When are you going to do a video on updating charging system?
The acceleration is a huge improvement, but we haven't gotten a top speed yet. As for the charging system I'm still lookin into it. I may switch to a small alternator. It's definitely gonna get addressed once I find a solution I like though don't worry!

Glad you noticed 😉 We're pretty stoked about it! I know Hondas version of our predators run 10amp charging systems... They are a little pricey and I have to see if it will require a new flywheel. I found a 20amp John Deere alternator for like $45 online and I'm currently trying to source a 1/2in belt pully I can run as a spacer on my driveshaft in place of all the 1in washers between the torque converter and engine. I swear finding parts is the hardest part of building these things. Makes me wish I had a lathe!
did you do the steering rack mod on your yerf dog so u can turn better?
What size tires are you running on your 3203?
Would have put single bucket seat changing steering to center.

Those rear tires suggest they are more set up for drag racing
We definitely got a little drag race in there haha. The massive tires are largely a stylistic choice, but the karts art built for the woods and dirt track driving 😎

I have this kart and a 440cc motor on it with a bullet proof rear end new tires too with a true comet torque converter like this. It rips way way harder than what you're showing here. What's amatter? Are you afraid of it? You didn't build it to sit still did you? GO! Send it man! I take mine air born on the regular. I saw the video where you flipped. That's fine. Your fine the kart did what it was supposed to. Go harder faster. Btw, I'm topping out at 47 with a 12T sprocket on the jack shaft and the same stage 1 upgrade and no governor. How fast is yours?
Haha I figured I'd take her easy on the first test. Especially since my brakes need some serious adjusting 😅 I haven't clocked the top speed yet but with our 7:1 gearing, giant tires, and assuming we hit valve float at around 5500-6000 rpm we should be hitting 50mph. Guess I better hurry up and get the speedo installed. Don't you worry tho... The FULL sends are coming 😈
