Crochet an amigurumi bookmark - The 'book lover' bookmark

  • Do you fancy a quick project that uses up yarn scraps? Then I hope you try this little pattern! The Amigurumi ‘Book Lover’ bookmark pattern is very beginner-friendly and you can whip one up in no time. The pattern is written in US terminology.

    You will need:
    - 2.5mm size hook
    - Scheepjes Catona mercerised cotton yarn in yarn colours of your choice. Or other similar weight yarn of your choice
    - A pair of 6mm safety eyes (I used those: amzn.to/2VDpLNq)
    - A pair of scissors
    - A tapestry needle (I use these: amzn.to/392PPoq)
    - Pins (optional)

      Thank you! You can always make it without the safety eyes by using some black yarn in the same way the cheeks are made :)

      @@butfirstwecrochet3185 those little safety eyes are hard to find where I live, so the eyes will have to be made like the cheeks, but I think I can manage it. Thanks again.

      @@FootballFanLeanne Yes, you can do that for sure. You could even drop a couple of sizes on your hook to make them a bit smaller to maintain the slight size difference between the eyes and cheeks :)

      Hello there :) I've included the measurements on the blog post
      If you've used the same yarn/hook then the final bookmark should measure as follows:
      Amigurumi book: 6cm long, 4cm wide, and 1.5cm thick
      Heart: around 3cm long and wide
      Strap: approximately 24cm long
      :)
