Actually what is 'core' and 'cavity' by definition? I do know something different than the expressed topic here. So far I know 'core' is used to make additional feature like internal cavity or something vice versa. And cavity is the produced hole by the used pattern. So what did you explain about core and cavity? I can't understand.
I will try to explain with my knowledge, cavity is the resting mold and injection is mostly dont in the cavity part and the other side is called core makes the other side and it is withdrawn after molding in every molding it is important to choose which side serves as a cavity and which is core.
