Thank you WINX for reigniting my interest in horse racing. Sunline got my passion started and 12 years later we were blessed with Black Caviar. After giving racing a miss for 3 years, that familiar tingling in the veins and tear down the cheek at the sight of a great thoroughbred, reminds me that, racing is indeed an affair of the heart. @Dillinger Sam, Once again, apples and oranges trying to compare a horse bred to thrive on turf (Winx) to a horse bred to thrive on conventional dirt (Arrogate). I'd settle to see Winx come to Royal-Ascot and take on Almanzor in the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes. I think she'd find that stiff uphill finish at Royal-Ascot much different from these flat ovals she's dominated on in Australia, IMO.
Tracks are meant to be flat. You don't see an uphill run on an athletics track at an Olympic Games. Look at Meydan. They had a blank canvas and unlimited money to do whatever they wanted. They built a flat track. Arrogate is a beast and so is Winx.

Black Caviar was a superstar SPRINTER and the last time I looked Winx was a champion miler - middle distance horse. Out of interest who do you think would win a mile race at Flemington between Winx and Black Caviar ?
Mr Fastnet the expert on everything except tipping winners. You tipped seven different horses in the Melbourne Cup 2016 and all lost. In 2017, you wrote that odds on fav Caravaggio was a cert - he finished fourth and then you wrote the same about Chataqua a couple of months ago and that was another fav that bit the dust. Was the Oz gelding fifth or sixth?? Your "tips" should be tipped in the bin mate ! Bye loser !
EMoN Winx is also a different horse. She's much more dominant now. In fact she hasn't looked like being beaten in the last 2 years. Highland Reel is very good but she is great.
Winx is the best turf horse since Frankel or Sea the stars, possibly even better but I think Highland Reel looks like one of those horses the way he's running this season and could really put it up to her. Would have loved to have seen Winx at Royal Ascot this year but it wasn't to be
There's little doubt she would have won either the King George or the Queen Anne. She's already beaten Highland Reel easily. Scottish was only 3 lengths behind Highland Reel. He was out here last year and was beaten 3 lengths by Jameka in the Caulfield Cup. The start prior Jameka was beaten easily by Hartnell in the Turnbull Stks before Hartnell faced Winx in the Cox Plate where she gave him an 8 length spanking. So using formlines through both Highland Reel and Scottish we get the same conclusion. Ribchester was 0.5l behind Minding in the QEII Stks. The start prior she was 2.5l behind Found in the Irish Champion (Highland Reel was in the race but track was wet and he doesn't go on wet ground). When Highland Reel met Found in the Breeders Cup he beat her 4 lengths but she beat him 1.5 lengths in the Arc so they are fairly level - leaning to Highland Reel on good ground. Ribchester would be slightly inferior to Minding and 2 or 3 lengths inferior to both Found and Highland Reel so it's easy to draw the conclusion that Winx would have won the Queen Anne, especially when you consider at a mile Winx has won 6 Grp1's from 7 starts and the other was a Grp1 second,
