    I show you every thing to do and I make my really simple only 3 ingredients I have a facebook page now click here to join in.

    ingredients....
    1 Tablespoon Sea Salt (per Head of Cabbage)
    1 Head of cabbage
    1/2 Teaspoon of Caraway seeds

    I had a German granny and boy oh boy was she ever a good German cook. Kraut was a staple in our home because granny lived with us. One of my favorite German dishes granny cooked in the crock pot was good pork steak simmered all day long with sour kraut and onions. Granny served it with boiled potatoes and butter on the side and p
    Oh how us kids loved that. I am 61 years old and granny has been long gone for many years now and I still love this dish.

    Had a beautiful dinner in Rotweil, Germany at a restaurant that made their own sauerkraut. I remember it was a little "fizzy" or spritzig as they called it. Really good and so different than store bought. Thanks for the recipe OMC.

    I've been a saurkraut fan since forever, but always bought the stuff in the green can. Decided to try this, as it looks easy. So I tasted after three weeks, not sour enough. Now about 4 and a half weeks and the taste is pretty good. Next time I will make a bigger batch. Thanks for sharing this one.

    Tom, so this is where sauerkraut comes from! My eye doctor told me I had floaters too. They're not good for eyes, and not good for sauerkraut! Your kraut looks fabulously delicious! MMM! Great job, my friend!

      Yes home made sauerkraut is the only way to go.... More health benefits in a cup full of this than 5 bottles of pills..... Thanks John! :)

      Floaters in the eye are mostly harmless. Most people have a couple, and their number increases with age. They can indicate problems in the eye but floaters in general are no cause for concern.

      Hi tnwnl! LOL!! Yup! that's pretty much what the eye doctor said! Thanks for the assurance!

    Great video! I just might try making this at home...I'm a little scared about the floaters, though! Sourkraut is really good on pizza with Canadian bacon :)

    • @OldManCookin
      @OldManCookin  8 лет назад

      That would be Awesome on Pizza but add it after the pizza is cooked or you will kill the probiotics that are in the kraut... but it don't bother the taste.. :)
