Ancient Magus Bride is one of the best anime to come out in recent years, if you ask me. Everything about it was so magical and beautiful to look at, and the magical world is so interesting
The first half was amazing. But you could clearly tell the production schedule was not good for the last half. They stretched themselves out too thin by making it a 24 episode series. The fact that the 2nd op used recycled footage from the anime entirely speaks for itself.
@@goldmemberpb 100% agree. The first half gave me such Ghibli vibes so often and it was just some pure and whimsical. Then the second half had it's problems and led such a great piece of work fall into obscurity.

@@EJ_Red I have only seen the show. So, I can't tell you how good the adaptation is. It was adapted by Wit Studio and they are usually pretty good with their shows.
I wasn't expecting a cover of Here of all things. The Ancient Magus Bride is one of, if not, my favorite series in manga/anime. Fantastic cover, so happy to see it~
Whoever thought of making this opening when the anime played is a very big genius.
It is among my top also. Too bad there isn't more of the anime

The translation is truly magnificence!
Translating Japanese is difficult in itself, but creating lyrics from it to which can be sung to is even more difficult. Yet, these English lyrics fit so smoothly into the melody.

The vocals seem to be a tad bit quiet compared to the instrumentals, it feels like the vocals sort of... "sink" to the background. Still, I'm happy you finally did this :)

This is one of my favorite opening to any anime, to date. I even started reading the manga after watching every episode.

One of my absolute favorite opening song. it is an opening so good, I started watching the series because of it. It is honestly so good that it is such a shame how forgettable the second op is. it also did not help that the 2nd op did not have a single original animation cut in it.
Last episode had a new anination for the opening... and it has some shots, but overall I agree. The song grew on me, but the whole sequence kinda killed it for me
Welp, good thing that the blu-rays that I bought have the better version of op 2 for the entire second half of the show...much better that way! :)
