i've used mine this way a few times and i find throwing an air matress on top of that takes away all of the unevenness and makes it much more comfortable. I slept in my montero on a trip while my friends slept in their pop up trailer during a good rain. Everyone kept dry but they had to set up their trailer again at home to dry out the canvas while all i had to do was drive home. I made an awning for the side of the montero and it makes a great place to sit in the shade and eat lunch.

Motor trend did an article of 10 vehicles they wish would return, they called the montero the best suv to come out of Japan. I've owned a montero sport, and currently drive a montero. I've been very happy with both of them.
How much grain do you cart in your truck ? 🤣 just having a dig 😁 We call them trains over here 🤣 . Im still having trouble working out my seats in my 98 pajero nl gls LWB ( think might be easier to burn them and replace with milk crates 😡) , bit different to yours. Have a good one🙂.

Since the third row seats on the Gen 3 fold into the floor I doubt it will work the same.
