- Manchester City produced a blistering performance to dismantle Manchester United in the 188th Manchester derby.
Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both scored hat-tricks, with City running out 6-3 winners in front of a packed Etihad crowd.
The champions were 4-0 ahead at half-time after two goals apiece from Foden and Haaland, as United struggled to cope with the speed of of our football.
Antony got one back for the visitors early in the second half with a fine curling effort.
But Haaland and Foden completed their trebles to put City 6-1 up, before Anthony Martial's close-range header and late penalty reduced the deficit.
It was yet another historic day at the Etihad that will live long in the memory of those in attendance.

I may just be overreacting cause I'm still hyped from the match, but that may have been the best attacking football I've ever seen from City, especially in the first half! And while Haaland and Foden were obviously out of this world, they could attack freely because every single other player was firing at 100%. De Bruyne with his beautiful assists, Gundogan dependable as ever as holding midfielder, Grealish becoming more dangerous every game with his dribbling, Akanji proving to be the best bargain ever, and of course my man Bernardo Silva, the silent genius.

Haaland set him up a great chance to score but he didn't shoot and chance lost. He will be better though when he believe more in his ability and he so great in this game

@@simoncooper3 Right now hes doing all the little things which make him so important. More goals would be nice, and at times he’s very hesistant to shoot the ball. But his overall game has been class both this and last season. Just need him to be more aggressive in the wing and attack defenses head on

An absolute masterclass of Foden, Haaland, Grealish, Akanji and Kevin de Bruyne. All credit for the team and Pep playing against this United with massive confidence after beating Liverpool and Arsenal such a relentless performance. Only negative part the last 15min no sense to change all the team and the team dropped the level for such a huge change unbalance the team but overall unbelievable
