I just reseived my 225,I noticed there is a gage connected to the black box were the red and green hose hook up to, what is that for and do I need to tamper at all with it??
Hey Antonio, that regulator controls the pressure that enters the control box. You do not need to mess with it at all, I believe it is set to 90 PSI and should stay that way.
How much airflow does the unit require? 150psi is one thing but how many cfm will the compressor be able to continously put through.. ill it work on a larger homeshop compressor like 7.5hp.
Yeah....so this machine can be used then.....without water too......to mimic the SodaMachines out there?? Is this right....I'm interested in "blasting" old paint off of bridges and......wood....yes wood. I see alot of opportunity for contracting to take off old fascia paint everywhere now. How is this machine used for that....obviously without water then right? Do you have any videos on "blasting old clapboards or other wood substraights?
That's correct, you can use this machine wet or dry. I've seen a lot of people on Facebook blasting wood cabins and other wooden things, but it looked like they were still using the machine wet. It will certainly remove paint, polyurethane, lacquer or whatever else is on the wood. We don't have any videos of wood yet unfortunately.
I have used this machine for 5 years with 360 fleet services out of Indianapolis IN we have used water and glass but also coal slag on wood turn down your psi and feed and use extra fine glass.

The DB225, DB500 and DB800 machines require 185 cfm. The DB150 can run off as little as 60 cfm and the 1500 and 3000 need 375 cfm.

Also coal slag without water may wear the feed tube quicker, I say this but we replaced it twice in 5 years of everyday use great blast pot
