Those of us that derive from Southern upbringing(s) and/or soulful upbringing(s) and were bred in the church as Fantasia, Jennifer (and Beyonce' if you care to include her) all realize that when you're singing a song such as "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" - when the spirit calls you...ya' just hafta' go w/ it. There ain't no turning back. This performance has literally got me in tears right now. I'm instantly reminded of my childhood in Mississippi

If a person can use their voice to the point that they don't have use words and they still bring life to the song because their voice sounds like an instrument, then they are the ish. People get caught into range, I get impressed about someone who understand how to use their voice, whatever range they have.

She is definitely at least a Spinto soprano, probably a dramatic soprano. VERY powerful voice.
