If the bane skill doesn’t kill them , they will survive with 1 hp . If it does kill then it will kill. It pierces percent based damage reduction , and gives unpiercable damage reduction to sothe.
An exception for the 1 hp thing though is when stuff like GLR or other true damage reduction occurs.
I hope this helps cause it took me forever to understand too.
I like how Breath of Life 3 is one sentence and BoL 4 is this wall of text that I'm not going to read.
Bane is not exclusive to Sothe in RD, it's a Whisper's class skill, which Heather also gets. And in FEH it seems to work exactly like in RD - if it doesn't kill then the enemy's hp is reduced to 1, if it does then they just die.
Sothe is definitely based on his Whisper outfit, but Micaiah looks like a different take on Light Priestess (her final class) - she has the tiara and the red scarf, but the rest is entirely different. Which makes sense since her brave is already based on it, and it's nice when alts don't blend in together like Eirika's.
Jarrod is the main antagonist of part 1 - gets thrown under the bus by the Begnion senators towards the end of part 1 and is killed by the end, which is a shame - he could've been an interesting foil to both Micaiah and the Senate from part 2 onwards.
As for the banner, I'm skipping it because color sharing is not fun. That and I'm still trying to find something good from legendary banner - I complained about not getting Askr the last two times he was on a banner, so now I got 3 of him... plus Marth and Lumera and found bridal Sanaki from one of the reruns, so that's nice too.
My Tellius knowledge is severely lacking. Definitely need to go back to those games!

I haven't summon anyone from this banner. I'm waiting to get the tickets from Forging Bonds first. I'm not gonna summon much on the banner and instead continue to summon from Legendary Male Corrin's banner up to hopefully 40 summons.

I manage to get Edward within 5 summons and after playing with him, he’s pretty fun to use. Breath of Life 4 is very unique for a tier 4 skill; really helps with omnitanks and counters pre combat dmg
Bane Explonation:
Don’t kill: reduce enemy HP to 1 (applies before DR, Bane in FEH pierces %DR)
Otherwise, deal regular damage
The reaaon Bane sounds confusing is the DR wording. So, if an enemy has 40 HP, and Bane procs, if will do 39 damage before any enemy true DR kicks in. So if they have 7 true DR, it'll do 32.
I also really like Neimi's art. The way the hair is drawn makes it seem like wond is flowing. I havent seen any other art with that effect.
