Great job. I’m so glad that my days of working on diesels is long over. I didn’t mind working on large marine diesels but trucks are a pain. I watch you and I think back and realize how hard I worked to support our family. You are a good man Jason.

Well thank you I appreciate that. 🤝 I’m glad you don’t need to break your back anymore. I hope your getting a well deserved break after putting your family first for so long.

Jason, I viewed your entire series concerning the cylinder head replacement. your work is extremely professional. You spend the time needed to clean and inspect components before reassembly. I sure hope management is aware of how much money you just saved the budget and how your skills are allowing the city services to be accomplished. Take care.

Thank you. I appreciate you watching it. I try and do my best. I have the time and it’s such a in-depth repair I would hate to have to take it back apart for something I could have prevented.

Excellent job. That looked like a lot of work. I never had to work on a diesel engine. I have a little experience with the old International Harvester gas engines. I always call Internationals "Interdisasternals". Have a great weekend!

It’s one of the bigger jobs I do here but the cleaning and prep of gasket surfaces is what takes the longest, And I usually torque most of the fasteners so that adds a lot of time to.

I am wondering, have you ever pulled the liners on a 5.9 L Cummins

I rebuilt a 5.9 that I have a play list on, but it didn’t have removable liners. I know you can get repair liners for them but I don’t think the liners are removable like a wet sleeve engine. Is there a version I’m unaware of that they are removable on? The dry sleeve liners I’m familiar with the easiest method I’ve seen to remove them was they were bored really thin. When it was about as thin as tinfoil it was picked out. Here is a video of it. ruclips.net/video/OFkAD-LVPdM/видео.html
