Love seeing the behind-the-scenes work! - It’s amazing to see the hard work that goes into onion farming, especially the grading process and dealing with waste materials. Your dedication really shows! 🤩🤩🤩
Pretty cool watching these types of crops being harvested. Reminds me of an area North of Toronto called the Holland Marsh. A lot of Ontario vegetables come from that area, lot of work . Great video 👍.
That was a great informative video for those of us that know nothing of onion harvesting. I appreciate the video and the voice over explaining the operation.
Nice video and very informative. It seems there are a lot of onions that don’t get picked up by the machine and was wonder if you allow organizations like food share to go and pick up the leftovers for people ?
There is not many that don’t get picked up. It looks like there are but they are just the outer skins. There are plenty of people who think they can help themselves to the crops we grow instead of going to the store to buy the produce to support the farmers. We move some loads in the winter time to food banks for little to no profit. Great question and thanks for watching
Onions are pretty tough. That’s why we pull them first and they will dry and harden. We don’t see much bruising if any at harvest and depending on the markets and demand we will store them until march/April. Great question
Didn't know they set outside like that ( of course I know nothing of harvesting them ) till they're stored . Don't think there's any like that , maybe beets but is a beet vegetable or fruit , not sure and beets stay out always? Maybe covered ? Well I'm rambling....truly thank you for what you do, I LOVE the onion ( except pickled) I can eat um raw. ... I grew up around corn, wheat, soybean, tomato, pickles.
