So awesome to see from beginning to harvest of the best onions ever. Thank you for sharing all the different stages. Hope you have a bumper crop and prosperous year. Can’t wait to get my first new onions of 23~24 crop.
We were in Vidalia last Wednesday, which would’ve been May 1 and we decided to google where to get onions in Vidalia and A&M Farms was the first one to come up. So we drove out there and we bought 40 pounds of Vidalia onions. Super nice guy And an And a fine Christian man and the onions are really, really good.
I live a little over 200 miles south of there in Florida. My soil in my garden is like that so my onions look like that, they are the same variety. I waited until most of the tops fell over by themselves and pulled them last week. This lets them get larger. I made a drying rack under my garage to cure them on. I have red and yellow onions also, my wife loves to pick onions out of the bin instead of buying the at a store. I have more then we can eat before they go bad so she will chop up and freeze some of them.
Someone is going to hear about leftover onions! The smell that happens when you harvest onions is beyond belief. It’s too bad there isn’t smell-o-vision
we buy a 20lb sack every year we love them a thank you mr farmer for your hard work.
Beautiful onion crop there!
I am so impressed! I only use Vidalia onions!

Best onion in the world! Although, my mother in law calls them Vandalias, which is a town in Ohio near where she's from, lol.
😅🧅
Home gardeners know these as Yellow Granex. I plant in fall in SC and produce ample supply for home.
The ground looks like more sand than dirt. What is the composition of the soil?
very sandy/loamy, with a clay pan deep under the top layer. Some of our fields look like a beach!
The best onion on Earth - Vidalia
The Simply Sweet onions out of Pennsylvania are taking this market to task.
its hard to compete with the sun of georgia
The best onions
Are the green tops of v onions kept for anything?
the field crew will cut those during harvest & leave them in field to decompose
Kallstrom Sweet Corn & Vidalia onions YUM YUM TUM
I have so many wild onions growing in my yard and every time I mow there’s that smell.
That sure looks to be a beautiful field of onions.
Where is this filmed?
in Lyons & Vidalia, GA ! : )
Is that just a peanut digger that you're pulling them with?
Do you buy seed every season or do you save your own seed?
buy seed... were testing some heirloom where we can save the seed also...
Making me hungry!!
Anybody else like peanut butter and vidalias on rye bread.
I think you might be the only one.
Those are hard to get in my state, groceries don't have them.
friendly fyi, we ship farm-to-door to the lower 48 USA states : ) www.vidaliaonions.com/
Whaaa? We lie to the onions about their future? Thank you. I like to eat cheap. Stay safe.
