yep would love to see more of the drone flying. Would have been amazing to see it a little closer and looking straight down the river. A good drone with a gimbal is the Phantom 2, well worth it for about $1k.
This Christmas I got components to build a quadcopter of my own and of course since it's my first time building something "RC Wise" and I'm 15 I ran into some issues, so I'm just gonna span it out and work steadily on it so I can get it flying. I plan to get some nice aerial productions with a gopro too, they look really cool and I like the whole idea of filming, cinematography, and an adventurous style theme. In fact I've made the channel already and have some great ideas in mind however I don't have the means to record yet so there are not videos uploaded yet lol. Seattle would be pretty cool to film btw.
If you want to get smooth slo-mo with your GoPro, set it to 720p @120fps. Throw it into Cineform, set frame rate to 23.98 (24). Convert and export. Then edit the slowed footage by cutting and speeding up whatever parts you want to normal speed by setting speed to either 4x or 5x. Voila, butter-like slo-mo.

im guessing you got the DGI Phantom? i just took out a 4k loan to get the DGI Inspire, its a $3k model but i need extra parts, and yes its pretty difficult to fly, but once you get the hang of it, it comes naturally. its like playing GTAV with the Buzzard. My first drone was the Syma X5c ($61.99 comes with HD Camera) which is really nice btw for how cheap it is, it flies as smooth as butter, but the range wasn't too bad either. its good for practice for the Movement basics and 360 degree turns.
Go down to Utah you can get some pretty nice footage from all over the state because it has mountains, canyons, deserts, lakes/cliffs all that good stuff throughout the state. It's beautiful there

Hey Kyle. A really cool place to fly a drone that's not too far is Dry Falls near Coulee City. It's like a mini Grand Canyon.
