Thanks
cyndi lauper still my favorite part
No shame in those beautiful tears. After 1000+ times hearing/seeing this song, it still is a huge part of my soul crying out with hope... and the tears flow every single time.
Love the dueo of Stevie Wonder & Bruce Springsteen. Brilliant
This song and the many different genres shows that music is one of the strongest tools. If we all come together, we can make a difference.
Great reaction! Quincy Jones put a sign up in the studio that said "'Check Your Egos At The Door"...and everyone did. Imagine if the entire world could actually do that for just one day.
This song/video has always made ne feel emotional through the years because of the message and all the talent stuffed in one room. Now in 2021, emotional over the amount of souls in this who are no longer with us. What a gift to have video of their beautiful performance. Such a treat to hear it again.
I agree... part of what made me cry was seeing Michael and recalling his sad death! The song itself is so beautiful and powerful.
Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder perfect pairing....
it's amazing what an iconic group singers can perform when they leave their egos at the door and join together for a wonderful cause.
Crying right with you girl. The recognition in our eyes as you realized each artist was beautiful.
That Bruce Springsteen rif is awesome! MJ forever King!
Always when Michael starts, the tears come to me 🥺
Your reaction to this was beautiful. We need more of this in the world today.
Of all the reactions I have seen of this video, you are the first to have reacted when Harry Belafonte came on camera! He was my first concert when I was 5 years old!!! Mom and dad took us four kids to the big city four hours away to see him! Thanks mom and dad!!!
Mommy Drew... Legendary producer Quincy Jones set the tone for the assignment of this song when he reportedly posted a sign saying something like “check your egos at the door”, indicating that it was to be a TEAM recording & that NO one performer was bigger than another with them all in that room. The finished product spoke volumes about that saying. I enjoyed watching you groove out to the icon himself, Ray Charles, but for me, my favourite moment was the Stevie Wonder & Bruce Springsteen duet... AWESOME 👏😄
Goes to show exactly what good teamwork can accomplish ❤️
@@DrewsClues ... It went many, many levels PAST great teamwork 🤙😎👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The way your hair is parted and the v-neck top... I see a diamond inside a heart. You are a priceless gem inside of a beautiful heart!
Very touching reaction. Thank you.
Peace & Love ❤️🙏
I have watched many reactions, and yours, my sweet sister, is by far the BEST YET! YOU, not the singing, brought tears to my eyes! Yes, this song is indeed the Best of the Best of the Best! What gifted talent in one room is quite an extraordinary blessing for all of us, for the people in Africa, and for the world. So many gave so much to this cause! Giving is indeed the KEY to all of our woes! God Bless You! Your heart is so pure and I felt yours all the way through this reaction! God Bless You! New sub here!
Dionne Warwick her voice could bring me to tears.
No egos, No pretentions, No need to be center of attention, just amazing singers at the top of their careers, singing simply for compassion & love ❤️ Such a wonderful initiative that raised a lot of money to help those in need ❤️ Soloists (in order of appearance) • Lionel Richie • Stevie Wonder • Paul Simon • Kenny Rogers • James Ingram • Tina Turner • Billy Joel • Michael Jackson • Diana Ross • Dionne Warwick • Willie Nelson • Al Jarreau • Bruce Springsteen • Kenny Loggins • Steve Perry • Daryl Hall • Huey Lewis • Cyndi Lauper • Kim Carnes • Bob Dylan • Ray Charles ❤️
The Boss (Bruce Springsteen) is so sincere and so powerful that you would think he would destroy the famine single-handedly! A great, sincere and human artist! His duet with Steve is unsurpassable!
I have this on my playlist and it always gives me the chills. It's also the best version.
I agree and michael in this looks so sweet we miss you brother 😎✌
The words are just important today.
Love it this song is example of the American spirit we need this back. Where are you America come on America spread and apply to your life today

Your reaction was as genuine and uplifting as this song!
Love your passion....Stevie, Ray and MJ killed it!
What about Ms Dionne Warwick ?
They did this in one take! ❤️
You know, they really need to do this again! I read that Quincy Jones put a note at the door for the singers to check their egos at the door. And by the looks of all their faces I think they did that. You were absolutely right! We need something like this again especially right now. With all the division in this country, we need to get people together again. With all of the singers, I’m sure that none of them have the same ideals or viewpoint of this world right now. I can promise you one thing, you get all these people together and put on this again, it will be a tremendous positive thing that we could have in our country right now. Actually, in this world!

Wish that people in America could be like this now. America is scary now.
When Michael Jackson starts his part I immediately start to cry R.I.P. Michael

MJ all day every day. 👏🏻👏🏻
So many lost and are missed. RIP. Yes this would be a great Covid-19 anthem. Something that will only be conquered by coming together as one world.
Unfortunately countries prioritised the economy over human lives and it got out of hand with very late restrictions.
Lionel richie wants too
Love this old version of this song. So emotional.
OMG, the memories!
Back then things were better. Not perfect, but better. We were on our way to coming closer together. Until recently.
Quincy is genius.

Hits the soul hard and puts life in perspective
When Michael's cool self 😎 and angelic voice 😇 hit though
Mommy Drew... How long has it been since you saw or heard the all-star British equivalent to this called “Do they know it’s Christmas?” 🤔🤔🤔 Another all-star song & the legends in that video.... WOW!!! 🇬🇧✊️😉🇬🇧
Never...I don’t think I have ever heard that.
Really worth watching!
All these artists are amazing, but Bruce and Stevie together steal the show.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Mommy Drew... You can literally play “pick the superstar” in this classic hit... Michael Jackson (R.I.P. ✊️😔🕊), Ray Charles (R.I.P ✊️😔🕊), Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder (my idol), Cyndi Lauper, Kim Carnes, Huey Lewis... it was basically a “who’s who of the 80’s & 90’s”. The number of stars we’ve lost though ✊️😔. This song “went gangbusters” on the charts worldwide at the time, much like the British version - “Do they know it’s Christmas?” ☝️😁. During the dark & troubled times of the past 16 months or so, the message of this song RINGS LOUD & PROUD 🙏😉 Peace, love & best wishes to one & all ... From 🇦🇺Australia🇦🇺 ✌️😎✌️
I loved this then...and now the same! I have actually never heard that British version...at least I don’t think so.
@@DrewsClues ... It was released a year before “We are the World”. “Do they know it’s Christmas?” was released in 1984 while the all-star American response was released in 1985. I’m pretty sure you’ll recognise the tune when you hear it. It blew the charts to bits when it was released. Much like the American version, you can play “pick the superstar” with it ☝️😁
@@DrewsClues then go take a look, youll see the legends of Britian together, and they rocked it!
Best reaction to this song & video!
Still love Stevie and Bruce...❤❤❤

Mike the star amongst stars
This is not the original key. It sounds really off.
Can you please react to we are the world 25 for Haiti It's my favorite version
Today’s “woke” audience wouldn’t get this, sadly.
