Saying Hello to Jimmy Page

- While visiting London I was walking to the Royal Albert Hall. I noticed a great big house and Jimmy Page walking into it. Figured this was my chance to say hello to the Rock God.

I dont blame you for saying hello. If I could visit Vienna in 1802 I would definitely say hello to Beethoven if I happened to see him on his front step..
That’s a great way to put it, thank you
I would have done the same with Bach in Leipzig.
I would’ve given Wagner the finger in Bayreuth.

It's not like he'd hear you
Not only perhaps the greatest rock guitarist the world has ever seen...but an incredible song writer and composer. He's a worldwide treasure along with Plant and Jones.
Indeed. He's an incredible thief.

Jimmy's annoyed. He's trying to be nice, though.
This vid is all of 8 secs, lmao, and at least he responds. You must get annoyed and hurt just walking out your door 😂😂😂
@@destroythenarrative9034 lol. Good point, and Page is so annoyed that he's lived there for decades with fans all over the world visiting his residence and posting vids, yet it never crossed his mind to install a barrier.
how do you know that?
@@RoryTV1 In Sharkey's mind he knows Jimmy Page, although Page doesn't have a clue who Sharkey is. Sharkey thinks he will some day be famous as Page based only on a delusion that him and Page share a level of snobbery and false judgement which elevates him above all others.
@@DG-sf9ei what the fuck are you on about
Bro. You were spoken to by a rock and roll god. This is like a Moses-burning bush moment. Amen brother🎸
Hell yeah. In the moment I was very aware of the gravity of the situation
More like Satan moment don't you dare put Moses in one category with this pedo .
I've been to the house as well. Beautiful place. The kind of home you'd expect Jimmy to own. In my mind, Jimmy Page will forever be the best guitar player ever. The body of work he has given to the world is beyond compare.
All hail Led Zeppelin 🤘🏼
@@alexzgoff Got that right! There will never be another.
What’s the address?
Beside Robbie Williams house
Isn't there any Buckethead fan to argue with this statement? I think Led Zeppelin fans are more loyal. GNR fans are usually more toxic and disrespectful.
I have heard different stories of Page being somewhat rude or off putting to people or fans. But everytime I see things like this he seems more gracious than most. There is a real short clip of Page arriving backstage at Madison Square Garden and you see this either security guard or police man guarding the dressing room and Page gave him this real nice handshake and greeting. That is more than most celebrities acknowledge their security.
He is a normal guy, he just is being pulled in every direction so he hast to make decisions on when and where to put his time. The fact that he acknowledge my existence in transit is more than enough. I think very highly of him. Cool story thanks for sharing
he also had a relatrionship with a 14 year old lol
@@CzechShooter I just remember the magazines in the 70s saying it when Page was on a mission not to talk to the press. And read comments from people on these sites.
@Tom Decuca I was around in the seventies and I can tell you that things were a lot different back then. Led Zeppelin was not very much in the media at all. They were a very quiet band in terms of press. They let the music do the talking for them. which we all thought was very cool. These days it's like 90% media and 10% music as opposed to the other way around.
@@Joe-mz6dc yeah me too. Those were the best years for music. There was no video. Zeppelin didn't do any televised shows. No Midnight Special or In Concert or Dick Clark. It was all radio and what you could read on the back of the album cover. And that was fine.
That’s probably his biggest fear. He can’t work that lock fast enough.
I’m surprised he doesn’t have a private entrance.
A paranoid little person as yourself will never experience what Page has in his lifetime. He doesn't need a private door when he's stared down danger in one way or another more times than you could fathom.
@@destroythenarrative9034 lol, yeah Mr Collareette is right, Page only made millions in album sales touring with the biggest band in history. One of these days he'll save up enough money for a remote lock or maybe a wall if he could just have a net worth of 5 million vs 4 million.😂😂😂
@@destroythenarrative9034
Are you serious? Hellooooo! JOHN LENNON! He was shot 5 times in the back by a crazed fan who just a couple of hours earlier asked and got an autograph from him. He was just a couple of feet from entering the main entrance to his apartment building, one of the most secure buildings in New York.
No one is saying he can’t afford a “private” entrance. Just surprised in view of his notoriety. I’m still not quite certain about the extreme danger he’s faced numerous times in his life.
@@robertacolarette1594 As if Page or anyone else doesn't know about Lennon, lol. Big difference because Lennon was a douche, thought he was an elite prophet and better than everyone else etc. and was a lyricist, hence the delusional brainwashed shooter. Page never wrote anything, just a humble person at heart, watch his interviews and do more research than being paranoid, as stated he's been living there for decades, and his fans adore him. In fact , Page has personally stated checking out the new local groups regularly in his area just to see what is going on and anything new or innovative. Imagine a legend as Page randomly checking out your band at a local venue.
ruclips.net/video/sS1dp8h8-a0/видео.html . Here's another example to prove how idiotic/preconceived your comment sounds.
It sounded like Page said..."yeah, you too, all the best, bye." Awesome!

Dave Grohl is the same. It’s simple. Probably half the people asking for autographs aren’t fans at all. They’re just gonna selling it for a fortune
Wouldn't matter, just saying "hi" would be enough.
The best way to greet a celebrity is just simply say hi have a great day, similar to what this guy did. Most Celebrities just want to be treated as normal people and not bothered or fussed over
You think he’s being polite but in reality he’s fumbling with the keys thinking of Mark Chapman & John Lennon
If that were the case then I doubt he would be walking around the most populated part of London alone

My father, a few years before I was born, almost bought Tower House. This was the sale before the one where Jimmy Page bought it, so in the late fifties. He decided against because he didn’t want to have to do the gardening, so instead I was raised in an apartment around the corner in Oakwood Court. Just as well. Its an important piece of architecture and we’d have wrecked it. Jimmy Page lovingly curates it.
Cant imagine all of the beautiful homes that used to be on those streets!

My Mom had a kid in speech class, a guitarist, who once served JP at a McDonald’s off of interstate 71 in Ohio. He came into my work once and he was the reason I started playing guitar. I couldn't deal with seeing him as a real person so I went and hid.
Did you work at a guitar store? Did you eventually come out to meet him? Lol
@@alexzgoff No, I worked at Tower Records on Sunset in Hollywood. No, I didn't meet him. I met tons of other people, like David Bowie, Michael Jackson, most of Guns N' Roses, Black Crowes, etc. Page is different for me though.

I met my hero, Mort Sahl, four times, and despite his old age, and just finishing up an hour-long show, he was the same guy off the stage as on.
Good stuff! Met him in Bangkok 2011 spoke for 3 or 4 mins, shook his hand and mentioned I went to Wembley Arena a few years before and loved the Page & Plant concert.

There is well known, famous and legend.
I recall a story that Michael Jackson rented a entire supermarket from midnight till morning. He called all his friends, staff etc to fill the place up. Then gave them instructions to just shop like "normal" people and ignore him. He pushed a buggy around just to see what if was like not to be mobbed by fans.
