I recommend downloading blender gurus shortcut sheets and print it out and put it in a binder Just search blender guru then go to his beginner tutorial then go in the description then click the link for it in the description then download it

Blender is the software we are currently using and let me just say that when we started out, we raged at the sight of the interface cuz it looked so complicated. With lots of practice and patience, we finally got where we wanted to be! To Anyone reading this who is currently trying to learn the software, just be be patient and keep practicing! You'll get there! Great video btw! I really liked it!

every fruggin' graphics card from 2000-whatever to present day can run blender. You don't have to use cycles renderer and gpu acceleration... though that's kinda required to make it not be slow af/ a huge pain in the butt... ok so you're kinda right
Hi Peter, To get the smooth definition in blender for sculpting and modelling, it's necessary to play with subdivision modifiers and smoothing options (usually by enabling the Shade Smooth option)

Wow. I was not expecting to see one of my favorite RUclipsrs to be trying out Blender today. And as a learning 3D artist I feel these struggles all too well haha.
You know,I was slight expecting thus guy to make poorly made 3d models, but I gotta say,you are quite talented using blender. And even making art aswell.
By the way, the reason the the dots on the eyes appeared on the nose is because your UV map (basically if you cut the model up and laid it flat that would be the UV map) was aligned wrong and painting the colours on bled over from one vertex to another. Also you should have used smooth shading (right click and select smooth shading) and dynamic topology so instead of moving vertices it added them
The video is old and Peter probably won't read this, but turn on dyntopo/dynamic topology (it adds more polygons, detail, while sculpting). You also can turn on smooth shading once you finished the 3d model (press either space, shift+space or f3 to search for it). Then you can add lights and a camera so you can render the image (top left render and then image). The "fragmenting" is caused by not having a good unwrap of the model. UV/unwrap is like if you were to wrap the model up in paper and then color the paper. It's a pain to deal with and I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Imagine a teacher stumbled upon this video thinking it's the actual Blender tutorial video for a college class when really it's not? THAT would be embarrassing!

Here's a tip for blender, in order to switch objects, go to the object menu and click the object that you want to edit, then go back to sculpt or edit (I'm a beginner too.)
