- Hey friends! Welcome back, today's video is suuuper long (sorry not sorry lol). I used this video as a diary where I can remember all of the locations that I picked up at throughout my program and the guest interactions at each! I picked up shifts at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Fantasyland (aka Sir Mickey's), Island Mercantile (Animal Kingdom entry), Pandora Wind Traders, and Memento Mori (the shop after the Haunted Mansion ride). Enjoy my rants and detailed costume show-and-tell!

i just got my location for my program and i’m gonna be in pandora merchandise so this video made me so so excited!!! :)
Yay!! I hope you love it - I enjoyed the location so much 🥰
I was in the DCP January to June of 2022 and Windtraders was my home location and yeah you've basically described it to a tee. The coordinators I always worked with were amazing, nice, super helpful and always wanting to talk to you and see how things are going. I still miss working there cause it was honestly the most fun I ever had.
It was so fun! I’m glad you had the same experience. I would totally work there again 🤩
@@simplysarahkate Odd question to ask, but do you remember who the coordinators were? Cause I had two I almost always worked with and I really came to form a close friendship with them
Sadly no, I’m horrible with names and I picked up so many places I couldn’t even tell you😅😂😂
still in awe of how much you got done in the same amount of time i was there for😂
Haha, I was so burnt out by the end tbh😂😂 but I’m so glad I pushed myself to try new things while I could!
So, do you just train ahead of time for these different roles? Also, do you think it is worth bringing your car? I would have to drive from Upper Michigan, so it is like a 24 hour drive. I saw that a parking permit is now like $180. I would like to bring it so I can go to the other parks and explore Orlando, but it seems like it would be so expensive to bring. Before I realized that Flamingo Crossings was your only option now, I wasn't going to bring my car because the other apartments weren't far from where the I-Ride bus stops and turn around, so I could have just walked to the bus. Now the apartments are on the other side of Disney.
Hey! I had my car, but you can easily get around with the CP bus transportation provided. I used it sometimes and it was usually on time. They go to target and a strip mall with other stores which is nice. Also friends with cars will offer to drive you places and carpool. Just offer gas money or Starbucks and people are really nice haha.
Also no, you are expected to know what to do when you arrive at your shift unless it’s an event shift! Even then, you receive instructions when you arrive. They will give you a tour and make sure you’re comfortable at most locations ☺️
@@simplysarahkate alright, thank you! I should be applying any day now. I just have to fix my resume a little and a couple of other things before I apply.
Great! Good luck!!
@@simplysarahkate thanks! I’m super excited, but nervous, mostly now since the phone interviews are back. I have looked up some practice questions to get an idea though, so I think I’m ready.
