Leading Songs in Church (3/27/2024) |

This video is dedicated to showing you guys the fact that I sometimes lead acapella worship songs in the church I go to. I am a Christian and I attend the Palm Springs Drive Church of Christ, which you can find the RUclips channel for below. What you see me doing is leading the entire congregation in acapella songs, first called He Bore It All and the other called Abba Father, all different kinds of people who only sing (and most of them know how on a basic level) in church.
We don't hire professional singers to sing worship songs to us; we all sing together in worship to God through singing acapella harmonies (as God specifies singing but does not specify to use instruments) with choral style singing in mind to make it work. I hope this makes sense and I hope this let's you learn a little bit about me. Take care! :)
Also sorry for the angle, but it was either secretly record myself with my phone on the podium or hold it out in front of me on selfie mode, distract everyone in front of me from singing, and make a fool out of myself by prioritizing the quality of the video over the quality of the worship and by figuratively slapping God in the face by doing all of this.
PS - if you were kind of questioning the date, yes it did happen on a Wednesday and yes, we do meet every Wednesday night for worship. This Wednesday was our monthly singing service that happens on the last Wednesday of every month where the majority of the hour is spent singing and reading scripture before it's finished out with an invitation to become and Christian, a final song right after that, announcements regarding members of the church and upcoming events, and a prayer. On a regular Wednesday, we'd take 40 minutes for Bible class instead with a 5-minute break between that and 15 minutes worth of singing and an invitation.
