• Loreen - Tattoo
This whole performance is a love letter to her heritage. She was born and raised in sweden but her parents are from the nomadic berber tribe from the atlas mountains in morocco. She wanted to emulate the feeling of the desert with the sand on the stage and the overall orange color scheme. Her outfit, including the nails and henna tattoos on her arms and hands are a modern take on traditional ornaments. And the runes on the screens are a mix between nordic runes and moroccon runes to reflect her multicultural artistry.

Not from a Nomadic berber tribe. This is purely based on a stereotype of the Berber people as "Tuareg, a population who live in the Sahel and have a typical nomadic life-style, meaning a member of a people that travels from place to place to find fresh pasture for its animals and has no permanent home. This is not the case from the majority of people of North Africa, incl Morocco. Her family is from Nador, in Northern part of Morocco. This part has a very mediterranean climate and no "nomads" to be fiund there either, same as the rest of the majority of Morocco. She is of Moroccan Amazigh descend from Nador. A mountanious environmental where people stick to one place and were originally farmers.

Loreen has a numbber of great songs. In an interview sheexplained she had been training hard for a long time to be in good shape to be able to move and sing the way she does.
It has paid off because she looks and sounds amazing! Such incredible determination and tallent!

What a great reaction! I can feel that you feel this song, it's really emotional. I like what you said about the breathing when conveying emotion. I also like that you took the time to really listen, go back and think about the song. There are way to many people reacting to songs, who just stare at the screen, say it's good and move on to the next. That's not really a reaction.
I like reactions from non-Eurovision fans more, actually, because Eurovision fans usually has so many preconceptions, or they're fans of some other song/country, so they don't like an entry just because of that. It's nice with a fresh set of eyes and ears from someone outside of the Eurovision bubble who just takes the song in and say what they feel about it.
"Tattoo" isn't Sweden's entry to Eurovision...yet, but it will most likely be (fingers crossed), when the grand final is held next Saturday in Melodifestivalen. This is live, from the semifinal, which she won. I think she sounds even better live than the studio version, she's one of those artists.
During her performance she was interupted by a stage invader, so she had to start again, really professional of her to be able to give this performance after that.
Loreen won Eurovision back in 2012, with the song "Euphoria", that's a great song to react to, btw! It's a Eurovision classic, and is considered by many as one of the best.
She wrote the comment "Euphoria was the sunset and the moon, while Tattoo is the sunrise".
My interpretation is that Euphoria is like Sweden (where she is born and raised), quite dark, there is snow, while Tattoo is like Morocco (where her parents are from), it has this warm desert light, and there is sand, but both songs has this mystical, etheral vibe and sound. There are symbols that looks like traditional Moroccan tattoos, some have said though that they've seen Nordic runes there too. To me it's like a mix of her, she's both.
Loreen is really an _artist_ , a performer, and there is so much thought and emotion in everything she does, it's a beautiful song, but it's so much more than a song.
Hope you get into Eurovision, I know a lot of people actually got into Eurovision back in 2012 when she won. There are so many other interesting Eurovision songs. And if you get into Eurovision, perhaps even vote for Loreen? Even if Eurovision is early in the morning in Austalia.
And yeah, I realize it write a bit too long sometime when I get excited about something...

@@dj_410 Eurovision is such a rabbit hole once you start digging, so many different songs and genres are submitted every year and you never know what will win this year. Personally, for a start, I'd recommend going through a list of the winners going backwards, so perhaps starting with Ukraine in 2022 and then going back until you reach Loreen (and Sweden) winning in 2012 with what is considered one of the most iconic Eurovision songs of all time - you've probably heard it but might not have registered that it is a Eurovision winner.
Once you've done that there are still so many songs worth checking out that might not have won, but still are held in very high regard by the community. I'm sure you'll get an influx of new viewers who will come with a whole lot of great suggestions for future songs and performances to react to :)

I love when a song is scaled down and a empty canvas for me to paint. This song means something else to me. Its about the emotions with the current war in ukraine, it stuck on me like a tatto, it is simply something i cant forget, and she is really expressing the emotions i feel deep inside, if i ever could sing my emotions these are my emotions

something I remember thinking while everyone is entitled to their own opinion about how Eurovision went this year once i was prepared to enjoy the songs i realized quickly that tattoo was the likely winner because while it's fair to say it's different than her previous winning song it is just as epic
Check out "My Heart Is Refusing Me" ...that song was close to qualify to Eurovision allready 2011.....But the performance as a middleact from MGP2013 is amazing....and than of course Euphoria!

This was a genuinely fantastic reaction video. Probably my favourite reaction video I've seen to date actually. Such a great reaction! The sad truth is she's not everywhere because she's Swedish. Most of the bigger artists in the world are either from the US, the UK or from big countries or regions where you can make it big by singing in a language spoken by a lot of people. To be a huge star in the western world you kind of have to make it in the US and not even ABBA managed that. Look at Zara Larsson for example, such a huge talent and one of the greatest young vocalists and performers in the industry today but she's been trying to reach the American audience for like a decade.
This is a song from the swedish "Melodifestivalen 2023" (The Melody Festival). "Loreen - Tattoo" is the seventh song. The winner will always go right to Eurovision Song Contest. There, all countries in Europe compete with their songs. Ten years ago, Loreen won the entire Eurovision with her song "Euphoria". Sweden hasn't chosen who will represent our country yet. The final is on Saturday. I hope Loreen wins and gets to sing in Eurovision again. 😱🔥

Great reaction video and I like when you tray to explain how you think and so on. I like to mention the reason she was crying in the end. That was the second time she did the preforms. The first one an activist came up on stage so they needed to start from the beginning.

Great reaction video and I tend to more look at you and your reactions to Loreen's song and her performance.I must say I so appreciate your humble way to not intentionally step on any toes, really nice and lovely of you - respectful! And yes this is a live performance :) which it must be in Eurovision Song Contest and also in the Swedish competition, not sure how other countries have it with their national selections, if the performer are allowed playback.
I'm not 100 percent sure but I think she don't want an international career or breakthrough. (Please correct me here if I'm wrong.) Loreen is a very down to earth kind of soul - no fuzz.

Im from Sweden and she is big and known in Sweden but actually not enough. This is a great performance and amazing song. And the production as you say. And you should listen to Statements from 2017 with Loreen. Thats amazing as well. The final Eurovision song contest is held May 13 in Liverpool, They host for 2022 winner Ukraine..

I don´t know if somebody already wrote this but she won the swedish Melodifestivalen this year and now she hopefully will win the eurovision song contest in Liverpool in may. She will be in the first semifinal 9 may and then we hope she will get enough ponits so she will be in the final saturday 13 may.

"Tatoo" live is magic, mysterious, romantic, powerful, it is somehow addictive and so close to perfection, every word and every move are believable, the "art performance" and the song combined takes you through a 3 minute emotional storm that you want to experience over and over again.
So, we all thanks Loreen and the team behind that made this epic performance possible! It feels already that Loreen and everybody who will see her performance are winners regardless if she win the Eurovision.

I know I'm way late to the party, been scrolling comments a bit but just adding:
15:00 it is all Live on stage. The Music is pre-recorded and if you see musicians playing instruments on stage those are never live, but the song must be and there is a % limit. There are background vocals available that also sing live but the main artist cannot stop singing due to being out of breath or something and just rely on background vocals covering for half the song.
This is Melodifestivalen, the Swedish trials to Eurovision. If you think Eurovision is a lot with two Semi Finals and the Grand Finale, then Sweden has 4 Semi Finals, one "Second Chance" (for those that place 3rd and 4th in each Semi) follower by a Final, all spread out over 6 weeks. If you want to see some fun, goofy music mixed with great, emotional, pop, rock and other genres, give both Eurovision and Melodifestivalen a try!
For a person who says every moment that he doesn't know anything about music, knows more about music and breathing techniques that about prob 90% or so doesn't know 😂😂😂

Is this too similar to her earlier winning entry? I'm not sure... I am kind of hoping for another song to win Melodifestivalen this year, maybe Theoz's or the laplander and his crew (Jan-Henrik Fjallgren? I think that's his name).
My favorite by far this year is Cyprus's song "Break a Broken Heart" (Andrew Lambrou).
Aw ... Jon-Henrik Fjällgren. Don't call him Laplander. Sami is the word. He's wonderful but he always teams up with those kind of dance music musicians for these competitions. He's brilliant when he is playing live with his own band alone. Loreen is the obvious winner to me.

It's one thing to like or dislike someone's product, but you implied somehow that you have a basis to comment beyond that. As far as I can determine, regarding Gaga, that is not the case. Just go ahead and acknowledge that you don't care for her later work, and leave it at that. More importantly that is the sort of thing you should have edited out of your video, to avoid exactly the point of contention you raised with me. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Aside from that, best wishes for your channel in the future.
Thanks for the feedback, I do agree and wish I was at the point with my editing where I could have removed that section but also want to make sure my videos remain my honest and unabridged reactions.
There is no denying that Gaga has amazing tallent and all I intended to imply was that as you said, I dont personally vibe with the songs she has released post her bad romance era.

She is not representing Sweden yet, the finals will be tonight and we'll see. To me Loreen is the winner but ultimately the Swedish people decide.
Loreen has won Eurovision for Sweden in 2012 with Euphoria. To me Euphoria is better than this but Tattoo is a song that needs alot of listens to be fully enjoyed.
Loreen also participated in Melodifestivalen with the song Statements, this one did not go through to represent Sweden in Eurovision.
Loreen is of Moroccan decent and the symbols on the screen is native moroccan tattoo symbols. The tattoo performance have a feeling of sand so we Swedes think this is representing her Moroccan side and Euphoria that had snow elements in the performance represent her Swedish side.
