    I genuinely feel that pursuing minimalism helped my self-esteem. My life no longer feels out of control. My building sense of calm helps strengthen my self esteem and serving others through helping them declutter gives me purpose 😊❤
    This was a really insightful video! Going to share it with family members 😊

      Minimalism, literally because there is less clutter in our external environment, is reflected in our inner environment. To use a more extreme example, that's why people who are hoarders feel so out of control-it's because their inner world is off-kilter first and foremost, so it's reflected all around them in their material world. Even people who leave their room, kitchen, or general living space messy usually feel chaotic inside. I don't mind a few material things here and there, but simplicity and minimalism are where it's at. 🩵

      If Joshua sees this comment - thank you for the excellent video! Can you let us know if you like comments where people spoil the contents? I feel like if you wanted this out there you would put it in the description yourself.
      Every time I see someone do this (bullet point of your points) I think, how frustrating it must be for him and he can’t really tell people not to.
      So I’m doing it for you - this type of comment is almost always disrespectful of the content creator ❤

      @beccaatthebeach 23 дня назад

      @@mjcossel6136 the algorithm likes it when the creator engages with every comment so that is an easy explanation for that.
      I’m having a hard time understanding why he would not do it himself (in the description) if he wanted it there. I’m sorry. It’s disrespectful to do this and that is fairly well known. ❤

    • @mjcossel6136
      @mjcossel6136 23 дня назад

      @@beccaatthebeachI appreciate your concern for content creators. However, I don’t know that it is inherently disrespectful to summarize. Many people (myself included) will watch the video and then look for a summary in the comments to help it sink in. Personally, sometimes I’ll look for the list before watching so I can wrap my mind around the topic before it gets explained. Those are some positive explanations as to why people make the summaries. ❤

    I would add-Learn better boundaries, esp with toxic people. I’m not sure why I got as far as I got (after being raised in such a toxic fam-noting that their toxicity hasn’t really improved to this day), but def I think it’s a combo of many things over about a 10 year healing journey. I can’t say which one magic thing did the trick. Some psychological. Some spiritual. Some learning and practice. Some habits. You just keep going ya know. One little step after another. Follow the road as it unfolds, mix in a little faith (expectation, taking that small leap into discomfort etc), and trust the process. Minimalism was a good chunk at the end tho. Started feeling more like a boss than a failure around my own home, schedule and space and it does kind of get you on a more upward mental and emotional trajectory and you start to feel more competent and able to do and try new things.
    When the mean old inner critic starts in on you with “you’re stupid, inept, pathetic, not good enough” or says you’re too small or weak to handle anything or how impossible something is and so on, there is nothing quite like concrete proof to the contrary that you can shove in its face. 😬

    Thank you for this Joshua , my dear Father in Law passed to Heaven this week , while we greatly feel his loss he has left an amazing legacy of selflessness in quietly giving himself in caring and praying for so many people , in his life he has touched so many with kindness. I am blessed for him and also my own father who also lived his life showing kindness to others. Even if it's not an act even a kind word we can make a difference in the world we live in, it can mean the world to someone more than we know and it blesses our own heart. One life can touch so many ❤️Thank you for your wisdom Joshua from Northern Ireland, God bless 🙏

    Jamie Kern Lima (who sold her biz for 1 billion dolllars) clarified this for me: self-confidence and self-worth are two differnt things. She shared she had confidence (in certain areas...right she was very competent.) but self-worth, is the INNER SENSE of your own value...you can have 1 but not the other. So while she was this successful biz woman, she STILL DIDN'T HAVE sense of self-worth.

    It's all about keeping the focus outside of yourself ; do compassionate good for others, wether human or animal. This will make you feel good about yourself (self esteem) and give meaning to this precious life you are living 💗 The more you focus on yourself, the more miserable you will become. Also 1) ban toxic, negative people from you life 2) do not engage in social media. 3) Relax... you don't have to impress nor convince anyone :)) 🥰
