True! Philippines’ answer was about what she can do for the organization, instead of what the organization can do for her. Her answer didn’t focus on herself. USA’s answer was ok. But was not realistic. Colombia’s answer was filled with so much narcissism. Being Latina doesn’t equate to getting the crown. She should have been 2nd runner up.
You can clearly see why Philippines won, she gave a most respectful, humble and realistic answer. Not to mention, you can tell by body language which one cared more about winning by showing they cared about their looks. Miss Philippines was more worried about her answer and didn’t care to have her hands on her hips and wasn’t too smiley bc that’s not what makes a miss universe. Colombia was all over herself and cared more about her looks at that moment. USA was overall excited but didn’t give much thought to her answer beforehand. I’m a latin women and I can tell which one genuinely cared to represent their country with poise, kindness, smarts, respect and compassion throughout the whole ordeal. Philippines has always prepared and trained for all possible questions for The Miss Universe Pageant, every Philippines delegates to Miss Universe was able to practiced especially for the questions and answers. For her she knew and able to focus the slogan of Miss Universe which "Confidently Beautiful" then she added more to be more realistic the word "with a Heart" she was thinking the answer with the BANG/WINNING LINE at the end of her answer people will always be remembered that line not only thank you at the end of the statement. She said that if you got to the battle you must be prepared the strategy why should I win, before hand she has always been thinking of winning "WHY SHOULD I" thats why she got easy to answer the question, in first opening line she was not able to described/describing herself, but more on what she was able to do or what she gonna do if she win, she've learned how to sloganised and she has to captured her answer perfectly.

This was my first time to actually listen to their answers.. and I must say that (although no hate for Ms Colombia) it was all about herself. With all due respect to her being Latina.. but it's all about her attributes... which are WHAT? Too vague and only for her country? Also, her interpreter... the way she cut her off was really off too. And if I would've been one of the judges, Miss USA should be the first runner-up. Her answer has way more substance. But indeed, Pia's was so refined, HUMBLE, regal, substantial, more meaningful, realistic, , SPECIFIC, organized, polite and sincere.

This was my first time to actually listen to their answers.. and I must say that (although no hate for Ms Colombia) it was all about herself. With all due respect to her being Latina.. but it's all about her attributes... which are WHAT? Too vague and only for her country? Also, her interpreter... the way she cut her off was really off too. And if I would've been one of the judges, Miss USA should be the first runner-up. Her answer has way more substance. But indeed, Pia's was so refined, HUMBLE, regal, substantial, more meaningful, realistic, , SPECIFIC, organized, polite and sincere.
They gesture of Miss Bulgaria was iconic too. I hope the Philippine franchise holder invites her as a guest and maybe a judge of MUP.
