This will be a hot mess for at least a year. And they all have old computers. If they can all upgrade and the game gets cleaned up a bit I suppose they could play. But it feels like 2015 again, with all the game breaking glitches. I play on max settings but the game will crash frequently on max or min settings. It's unplayable on a new $5500 PC.
Low key thanks to Simon keeping Ark alive with the team since Thick left us. Thick did get the crew on board on day 1 and as crazy as it is, it took the Simon to keep the energy of Thick’s vision alive. I know Neebs feels and knows this too and am glad he never lost faith. Now that this new rendition is out, let’s hope the crashes doesn’t keep them away from this gem

@@urazz7739I bought it for my laptop then had to immediately get a refund because I couldn’t run it. Yet I ran evolved perfectly fine so I got so excited. Now I’m gonna have to test it on my Xbox when it comes to console.
All of the structures for building are bigger which is nice. I always felt like I had to build a simple house at least 2 high in walls and 4 wide in foundations or else my character would clip through the ceiling and feel really cramped. The graphics are definitely improved by a big margin.
Can't wait to see you guys play this alittle more again. It breaks my heart that Thick isn't going to be there to enjoy the updated version with you. First thing you should do is tame the new improved Cooter!

The UE5 upgrade graphically is very impressive. Glad you guys are back on the ARKs. The Simon progression in ARK bleeding over to him being competent in newer games you guys get into has been awesome, sure it took a while to get there but we made it in the end.
I was under the impression that it would be a yr or so until we get Ark Ascended.🤔😅 Hopefully apsro won't get frustrated with the new ark as quickly. Suggestion - bring in a few of those ( island of not slaves people) in the next Ark series. 🎮✌️

Don't worry about hopping into ARK just yet! Servers and connections are a mess. The past 48 hours have been optimizations and patches after patches and bug fixes being pushed every 12 hours or so. Folks in their discord are reporting massive connection improvements but don't fret about waiting a week before jumpin' into recording an ASA series!

I first started watching neebs gaming when you were doing Ark. This is so nostalgic, I feel like we're back to our grass roots, should definitely keep doing this.
This game was my favorite series to watch when I was a kid/teen. Came back to watching Neebs and and nostalgia just hit hard. Hope they keep playing this! I will keep tuning in!

I legit had a Mandela effect moment when they announced Ark 2 and had to google to see whether or not i just imagined that game existed. I'd say it's the next Star Citizen but people actually cared for and supported Star Citizen
It's a graphical remaster with some new quality of life changes, but.. it reminds me of the early days. And Thick would have loved this, I'm sure he's watching from above proudly.
I just made one of the most upsetting realizations that truly makes watching this hard. This will be the first playthrough of any ark map or expansion in which Thick is not in... So used to them going into a game and Thick already having like a base built and stuff... R.I.P Wyvern King

Though, to be fair, they did essentially get forced to release the game by the end of October or they'd have to fully pay off their $4 million loan from Nitrado, as well as sign server rental exclusivity over to Nitrado permanently. So while they did delay working on it until the last second and release a horribly shoddy product, it's low quality really should have been obvious to anyone who kept up with its development. Nitrado basically strong-armed them into releasing the game, and is currently bending over every other server-hosting site that may want to, someday, host A:SA servers.

That's exactly what it is. They wiped out all the old servers that many people spent years working. Then had the audacity to force everyone to rebuy the game in order to play it with prettier graphics and the likes... So yep, that's exactly what it is. It is sickening that anyone supports this kind of practice. So you can bet wild cards is going to continue audacity and other gaming companies are going to as well. Forget microtransactions, this is gonna be the new scam. Making your old game unplayable I'm forcing you to buy the game again just for prettier graphics. It will happen, as people clearly don't care. Anyone supporting this new ark is proving that.
For the majority of this video they have the game on extremely low settings, it looks a lot better than how they show it. Also ASA added a lot more than just graphic changes, plus all the dlcs are free
@@spades77 Yet the map looks a lot different. It feels familiar but it looks like a completely new map. A lot of the changes are welcome especially with the building mechanics and I can't say I'm disappointed in one change other than the greenhouse looks better in ASE but other than that all the changes I've seen are really good and make things a lot more convenient. And let's be real ASE was nearing it's 10yr anniversary and was needing a remaster like this badly to keep interest and grow the community. As far as your gripe about not being able to play games that are nearly 10yrs old online, there are companies out there long before Wild Card that shuts their servers down way before that so kind of a silly argument. Not only that but again being an older game the player count was dwindling as that's what happens and needed to be revitalized. Case in point when was the last Ark video uploaded from the channel you're commenting on?
I hope this shows you what the people want. People want you guys just chatting having fun. The moment you said you play for entertainment rather than fun, the spark was lost for me. People have been saying this for years. We miss the Neebslyvania, the beginning episodes of Ark. Just a group of guys having fun. That’s what drew me in. And I’m sure it did many other people. Hold Q in the game changing your hotbar into a scrollable inventory bar. That way you don't have to drag building pieces down to your hotbar when your doing large builds with lots of pieces. Sure appsro will appreciate this :p

It's not a gem but maybe it will be in a year. Their PCs are far too old, and the game is currently unplayable with more glitches than in 2015.
It's already been patched very well , My tribe of 2 is having a blast. Just taming my first Pt flyer as I watch this.

The more I see of this game the more it looks like the ark people just resold their old game with some updates and a new texture pack.
That's exactly what it is. They wiped out all the old servers that many people spent years working.
Then had the audacity to force everyone to rebuy the game in order to play it with prettier graphics and the likes...
So yep, that's exactly what it is. It is sickening that anyone supports this kind of practice. So you can bet wild cards is going to continue audacity and other gaming companies are going to as well.
Forget microtransactions, this is gonna be the new scam. Making your old game unplayable I'm forcing you to buy the game again just for prettier graphics. It will happen, as people clearly don't care.
Anyone supporting this new ark is proving that.
For the majority of this video they have the game on extremely low settings, it looks a lot better than how they show it. Also ASA added a lot more than just graphic changes, plus all the dlcs are free
Looks aren't gameplay. Gameplay looks absolutely identical. Elden Ring still looks better than this. @@wfisher4034
@@spades77 Yet the map looks a lot different. It feels familiar but it looks like a completely new map. A lot of the changes are welcome especially with the building mechanics and I can't say I'm disappointed in one change other than the greenhouse looks better in ASE but other than that all the changes I've seen are really good and make things a lot more convenient.
And let's be real ASE was nearing it's 10yr anniversary and was needing a remaster like this badly to keep interest and grow the community. As far as your gripe about not being able to play games that are nearly 10yrs old online, there are companies out there long before Wild Card that shuts their servers down way before that so kind of a silly argument.
Not only that but again being an older game the player count was dwindling as that's what happens and needed to be revitalized. Case in point when was the last Ark video uploaded from the channel you're commenting on?

I hope this shows you what the people want. People want you guys just chatting having fun. The moment you said you play for entertainment rather than fun, the spark was lost for me. People have been saying this for years. We miss the Neebslyvania, the beginning episodes of Ark. Just a group of guys having fun. That’s what drew me in. And I’m sure it did many other people. I’m sure the cinematic angle has its enjoyers but the views should say otherwise. I enjoy watching one every now and then, but it feels like I’m watching something instead of being with a group of friends. This will probably be lost in the sea of comments, but I just needed to get that off my chest

Hold Q in the game changing your hotbar into a scrollable inventory bar. That way you don't have to drag building pieces down to your hotbar when your doing large builds with lots of pieces. Sure appsro will appreciate this :p

one big difference for building was the walls in evolved they are smaller but in ascended they are much taller
