My mom always told me “never keep all of the yr eggs in one basket”. It’s always a good idea to have a back up plan.
If one platform slows down then you have your others you can focus on and put more effort into.
    It’s an ever changing market.

Hey guys GREAT Video! thanks for Putting a voice on YT to diversification the more YT resellers that do this the More hopefully sellers will realize its not a bad thing and nothing to be scared of IF done correctly (like anything) lol but all kidding aside i do appreciate it it was hard last year commenting in the comment section when the rug fell out from everyone on ebay and i was like what you everyone is not diversified i was dumbfounded i really thought everyone did that like it was the norm (but i had been doing it for 25 years so what is norm to me i guess is not norm to everyone) and yes it is more work but ITS well worth it espcially now there are ways to automate it if you want too just think how it was 20 plus years ago to list on multiple platforms there was no automation via vendoo or list perfectly it was all done manually i personally still do it manual

Maybe you should add another category. May something like patches or 2x2 slides ect. Something you may enjoy.

We have slides and a scanner for them. Just no time to list them. Work in progress.

I completely understand that you guys have a niche that you have focused on. I would think maybe you should be focusing on customer demand. What people are buying right now. It’s summer shorts, sandals, and everything else summer related. Then we start shifting into back to school. The reason I’m saying this is because just looking at it from the outside if you had a 100 people how many of those customers are looking for jewelry and historical documents vs items they can use wear now? I have watched plenty of your videos and think you guys have great content this is just a thought. Everyone has the right to sell whatever they want or are passionate about. So good luck and continue putting out great content

I recommend the cross listing/sharing tool that was free and now costs about $10 per month (not going to advertise for them though). I do it because I agree with Barbara's mom about not having all your eggs in one basket. If eBay shuts you down, you have all the listing saved on said cross listing tool (insurance policy) and then you can aggressively list elsewhere. The other tools charge way too much. As far as the value of actually cross listing, i think it depends on how easy it is to get inventory. I feel like your ebay sales are directly correlated to how much you list. If you have too much to list maybe focus listing more on ebay but if you dont have enough inventory to keep you busy listing on ebay, spend that free time cross listing instead.

Mercari will also let you copy and paste in your eBay listing url and list it faster that way! In case you didn’t know.

It would seem that 😊1 or 2 precious metal or genuine gem sales makes a huge difference in revenue...

Posher VA is great. And list perfectly to cross list. One sale a month from these will pay for itself. I waited a year and regret it. Don’t waste your time.

ebay charges for promotions ...so if you don't pay for promotions ...your item gets buried

Yes, we promote all items at 7%.

I use a tiered approach to promoted listings. Start off low for new listed items then bump them up as they age. Once they have been listed for a certain period of time (say maybe a year) I turn off the promoted listings completely and drastically drop the price of those items.
