I live in the Asheville area. The difference between these two storm responses is that DeSantis isn't letting the media gaslight victims. I definitely don't agree with his politics, but you cannot deny the rest of the country exists in a leadership vacuum.
His "politics" and belief systems is what makes him put the people first. Can't understand why anyone would vote Democrats who ALWAYS put party and power above the people.

DeSantis know how to handle a crisis very well. Florida doesn't need to beg FEMA for money because we have around 120 billion in the bank, but we will gladly take whatever they have to help with equipment and personnel. I had plans to move to your area, but with hurricane Helene , I'm narrowing it down to the Greenville, SC area. My heart breaks for the Asheville, area.

I took a few classes on sign language ( she wasn't a good teacher) but we were told different facial expressions with hand signs mean different things and also make signing faster. So the face becomes part of the language

Of course he’s playing down the damage. He has an incentive to. He’s been downplaying climate change for years and passing laws counterproductive to preparing for future climate events to make it seem like this wasn’t so bad even though it’s two major storms in less than two months.
