Fit For An Autopsy are quickly, and consistently, finding their way into my favorite songs playlist. This tune is incredible, because it's different from "Far From Heaven" (which was fantastic, as well). Out of the many things I can compliment Joe on about his vocal talent(s), is that this song's chorus showed he can truly scream a melody. Vocalists who scream usually are pretty streamlined with their approach, be it only lower, middle, or higher, but Joe switches between them so well - while also not being a "show off" about it. Great reaction, as always! Killer track!
Fun story, I found this band a couple of years ago when I looked through merch..... I work at the Swedish equivalent of CSI and I just had to get their merch so I could wear it when I went over to our forensic medicine department, made the whole department laugh so job accomplished...... that their music an lyrical topics are top notch too is a great bonus.
So I actually met Joe outside of a show with my friend in Tampa like 2 years ago. Me and my friend went to the concert specifically to see them and there was a pizza place across the street. So we went to go get a few slices of pizza with our new FFAA shirts. We were eating our pizza and he walked up to us, thanked us so much for attending and to have a good night . Was fucking awesome but funniest thing happened because my friend didn’t know who he was and asked me and I told him it was Joe and he was so pissed cause he snubbed him lol. In Orlando the year after I was at a preshow for the concert and I was talking to the whole band and I brought that up to Joe and he remembered us. And he was almost sad that my friend snubbed him cause he didn’t know who he was. My friend has never been able to live that down lol
"The Sea Of Tragic Beasts" is a masterpiece from start to finish. But I also love their new songs so far, I am really curious for the album as well. :)
THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. My top 3 albums of the year are immutable, oh what the future holds, and elegy. 2 of the 3 top albums are from deathcore bands which have evolved and still have deathcore elements but are also very different from most deathcore.
Just like with Far From Heaven, I wasn't immediately feeling this one, but after a few listens, it grew on me a LOT. Love the quicker pace, and the more melodic chorus. The breakdowns in this song aren't anything special from a musical point of view, but they still have a lot of impact, something that another band writing a similar breakdown probably couldn't achieve.
