Data recovery in SSD is very difficult and data can get completely lost if damaged but in HDD due to its magnetic storage, data recovery is easier.
Also there are some other major issues too.
1. SSD have only 8TB max size cap while HDD has 16TB. Currently in the day where every software and games are 100GB, 200GB, 700GB, a higher volume storage is what you need because the game isn't demanding for 750MHz, it demands 750GB.
2. SSD can't operate in higher temps and NVMe Gen 4 and Gen 5 can get extremely hot. While there is no such thing exists in HDD.
3. If you talk about data recovery, then HDD are best.
4. Everyone says SSD and HDD are exactly the same price but it's not exactly true at all. A Gen 4 8TB NVMe costs ₹1,32,184 and beyond while a 8TB HDD can cost as less as ₹9998. Also a 16TB HDD costs only ₹28,100-₹41,777.
You should only buy SSD when you seriously don't install anything or just love speed and extremely high benchmark numbers. Which are not practical at all. What is the benefit of SSD if storage space is still going to be an issue?
You should be aware that not all HDD are made same and give speed and performance. SATA 2.0 and SATA 3.0 both have different speeds and perform differently. And if you buy anything like Seagate Firecuda, Seagate Barracuda or WD Black, then your HDD can last for even longer than some SSD. Things like TBW, slc vs mlc vs tlc vs qlc also make SSD more worse.

I think only for data storage ,use hard disk otherwise for os and any software related work use SSD ,spacially Nvme M.2
The main problem with ssds are they have a limited write cycle so not ideal for using it as daily driver to write/store huge amount of data therefore most servers still use hdd cause ssds have a limited write cycle some even lower than hdd..so in situations when you want to store data for long time hdd is ideal choice

@@ajiteshpaul8931all SSD are garbage tbh. If it's a TLC memory then that doesn't mean it have 100% days recovery rate. HDD have far longer lifespan than any SSD. The plastic PCB is the worst thing ever I have seen. Just twist slightly and you can break your SSD into thousands of pieces. While no one can break HDD

I have faced this situation too. My windows got corrupted when I was having it in my HDD but recovering all data along with installing new windows was very smooth and easy. Meanwhile in my other laptop that had a SSD, windows got corrupted and it showed an error of something like "boot device not found" when clearly windows 11 was already factory installed and a lot of other issues are there that I had faced using SSD. Although my data are gone forever thanks to the SSD.
Using SSD will give you trouble every single day, while using HDD has very minimal or almost no troubles at all. Also for long term like if you want to use your PC for 10 or more years, then HDD is great.

2018 Main buy kiya tha 2 toshiba 2tb hard disk. Kuch dino se 1 hard disk main problem slow working.

SSDs are not the best option for surveillance system as they have less write cycle and surveillance systems are installed to last at least 10 years

What to use in CCTV?
Always use HDD for surveillance because HDD have literally 0 limitations on how much data you can write. In surveillance, the system runs in 0% read 100% write. After all, all the cameras are going to be recording and save all the stuff in HDD.
Because of SSD's TBW (Terabytes write) SSD will fall very fast. For example if an SSD is having 200TB TBW then after writing 200TB of data, the SSD will enter read-only mode. Which means it won't record anymore but you can access and play all the footage you have recorded till now.
SSD has less life due to Frequently deleting or moving of data. And data recovering is very difficult and un guaranteed in SSD

Yes. Wo TBW hi at least 200TB se start hota hai. Daily hum jitna sab cheez copy paste, install uninstall karte hain 3-4 years se bhi kam time mein SSD read-only mode mein chala jayega aur phir tum kuch store nahi kar paoge. Bas jo already stored hai usko read hi kar paoge.
Mera 2012 mein kharida hua jo laptop tha. Usme jo HDD laga tha wo ek WD Caviar Blue tha. Laptop to dead ho gaya magar ye HDD aaj bhi kaam karta hai. Usko aaj external banake use karta hoon. Par ek baar bhi kharab na hua. Ulta jo mera SATA SSD tha Kingston ka wo kabka dead ho gaya.

no doubt SSD are better than HDD but not on cosmic level
as SSD stores the data on the chip by using little capacitors as their memory so when a particle nearly moving at the speed of light collides with the atmosphere it scatter a shower of rays and particles and sometimes these rays are capable of flip a bit of data which is technicaly called as Bitflip as time pass by the bit flip can rot the data but we are safe pretty much because of our atmosphere and by the bit flip detection system used in our computer
And because of this reason we cannot use the SSD where the amount radiation level is high like on space station or on moon colony, mars colony
And as the HDD stores their data on a magnetic disk it is secure from a bit flip by radiation

Maine 2012 mein ek laptop liya tha to usme primary drive tha ye WD ka HDD. 2 saal baad SSD pe upgrade kiya aur Kingston A400 SSD dala. Aaj wo SSD dead hai par HDD mast chal raha hai. Wo laptop to raha nai isliye HDD ko external banake use karta hoon.

No. Overall SSD loses because SSD is all about speed. Things like TBW capacity, higher temps, 8TB max size, and huge system incompatibility are what makes SSD useless. You can't use SSD on very older AMD Athlon or Intel Celeron and Pentium age motherboard.
But if you think practically then GTA V needs 120+ GB to store, not 120MB/s of speed. People have overpopularized, overhyped and overrated SSD a lot. In reality, SSD is far more worse than any HDD
@@DeathStriker88GTA v stutters if you’re driving around Michael’s house in morning time. GTA v ke liye SSD theek h. But yes having a 10 TB Hard disk is a good investment in the long run.
@@rohitk8797yes that's true. Somehow when I played Watch Dogs 2 and GTA V it needed tons of space to install and HDD is a no brainer. But at the same time I did have a lot of texture not loading and other issues. But that can be solved by using SSHD
