Thanks so much for this Josh! I knew there were problems with the site, but like any 'portfolio' piece, I've tweaked and added to this so much over the years that it became a bit of a mess. It's still a work in progress, but I can't wait to see the results. I'll keep you posted. 👍
I'm a big fan of you, James. May I give you some feedback from the perspective of a recent potential client of yours? Referring to time 7:58, I think it would be much more effective and conversion-optimized if you showed 3 tiers to select from, either in the form or somewhere else on the website. Each tier should explain what's included in it. We do this all the time in website design pricing. This way, each tier's price is justified and you can prevent low-budget people from wasting your time and their time... I noticed the same problem on U.K. logo designer Will Paterson's website after I visited your site a week ago.
This video is very timely. Lol. I contacted James last week because his website did not have pricing. He had to inform me in an email that his logo designs start at $6,000. Yikes 😬He was kind enough to refer me to his skilled students, though. 😊🙏🏻
@ Good to know 😊👍🏻 I think great designers in general need to educate people better so that people such as myself understand....or they should at least have pricing on their website to prevent “sticker shock.” ... In addition, a logo design and branding together does justify the price better.
@ Of course, I understand your point and it actually happens to all of us at one point and also the country you live in plays a part in that percepction as well. For example, I live in Chile and I am a UX UI and Website Designer and Elementor Expert and have made very complex and professional sites which i usually charge 2 to 3 million chilean pesos for (which would be around the 2k to 3K USD), but If I made those same sites for a business in the United Stated I would charge them 5 to 6K USD because the incomes in that country is different than mine. Anyways, I believe once you own a name in any business it becomes value, same as if you buy a car or any other product. Cheaper products will probably have less life span or quality than the more expensive ones, because there are more studies and manufacturing protocols behind the ones that cost more. Same a design, a seasoned designer will do more than just design a logo, he will absolutely do an extensive research of your competitors, the situation in the field of the business, the level of awarenes that brand has. He will also probably will educate the client why a logo doesn't have to be beautiful but instead has to solve a problem and function as a brand instead of just a nice illustration. He probably will follow a thorough process of analysis and testing and meetings. Another thing is that he probably knows about how businesses work and will be at the same level as the CEO that is hiring him so they will talk the same language in terms of money, investment, etc. All mentioned above is only given to us by experience and one should charge for that experience as a designer the same Aston Martin charges for theyr experience as car designers. Cheers mate!!!
Josh is always GREAT! 👍😉👍

Pumped to track traffic and conversions over the next few months @barnardco!

Thank you for this 👏
Why does a logo creator have no logo?
Probably too busy with constant client work and a nearly 1 million count social media following.

Yikes is right! Only 6k for his award-winning greatness?!?
@ At that price, I hope it's a logo design and branding.
@@derekshort 6K for a logo and brand made by an experienced and award winning designer is actually pretty cheap.
