    15th in the table with a +9 goal difference is crazy. With a full squad they are a really good team.

    • @PvtVallen

      It really is. I have no idea how they can be 15th with 45 goals scored in 22 games.

    I think we will see the pattern continue in future seasons. Teams that don’t have players who play internationally, teams that don’t have Europe are just at a new level of advantage. Fulham, Bournemouth, forest, are all benefiting, and these types of teams, the mid table teams will see a bump if they miss Europe, and the teams with a lack of depth, that get Europe will struggle with rotation

  • @DanielZ-nv2zg
    @DanielZ-nv2zg 5 дней назад +35

    Daniel Levy should’ve expanded the squad years ago.
    He’s so tight on money that it’s made our best players walk out the door, and when he does buy players, they’re either injury prone, inconsistent (and end up being forced out), or do play actually play good.
    And now spurs are paying the price buy not having a strong backup plan and are struggling at 15th.
    Would’ve never happened if Eriksen and Kane got the money and depth they wanted.

      Higher net spend than Arsenal since Arteta came in, and Arsenals squad was worse at the time he joined and he had to do a full clear out, yet people talk about how he’s spent so much money.

    • @Algorithm347
      @Algorithm347 5 дней назад

      What best players have been forced ? Kane ? Every Tottenham fan was saying he was getting too old anyway . Spurs fans always say levy out but you can’t keep using that excuse

    • @AnthonyMonaghan
      @AnthonyMonaghan 4 дня назад

      Tottenham are third in the Premier League five-year net spend table behind Chelsea and Man Utd. I don't think it's as simple as Levy hasn't invested. Go look at football 365 website for a detailed breakdown of their spending. How many managers have Spurs had in that time? Is it three/four? It is a culmination of problems at the club, the latest being injuries and I'd say Ange.

    • @tomeggleston367
      @tomeggleston367 4 дня назад

      He’s not tight…he has just spent what we could afford. You are aware that the stadium was supposed to cost £450m, but actually cost over £1.2bn due to Brexit & Covid? Are you seriously saying that £800m difference should NOT affect how much money we can spend?
      And yet we have STILL spent money… it’s difficult to see where you are coming from.
      Sounds like you’d rather we risked spending a fortune like Peter Risdale at Leeds - he won nothing and the spending sent the club down the divisions. Or Boelhy at Chelsea…spent a billion and still won nothing.
      Levy is much smarter than us. He clearly has a 3-4 year plan in place for this group of v young players. They’d do so much better if 100% of our fanbase supported these kids and gave them confidence rather than singing “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” when they’ve all been playing every 3 days for months.

    Teams should be allowed to increase squads by 5 but they have to under 18/ 21s from the academy or loaned to them from another academy. It’s hard to increase squads without helping the big teams most but this should at least pressure them to improve their youth development

  • @charlesingram9471
    @charlesingram9471 5 дней назад +4

    Ive thought long and hard about this and the answer isnt to increase squad size its to reduce number of games. The number of injuries has increased a lot in recent years, It is not ok to think we should just get more bodies. What sort of dictatorship is this? Do we not care about the human beings that players are? They are not for us to use and abuse. Reduce the prem to 15 teams. That is the only realistic way we can go forward.

    With the changes made to injury time, games are about 10% longer. And shock horror, injuries have gone up by about the same percentage. So squad sizes should increase by 10% an extra 2 or 3 players. The ripple effect would also be a change to ffp to pay for it.

      dude there is a direct correlation between losing 12 players due to injury and losing, exactly right after he lost the 10 game winning streak last year is EXACTLY when he got massive injuries, it was literally that ONE game against chelsea that started the decline, they got like 3 or 4 players injured in ONE GAME!! From then on every few weeks after that more players just getting injured, we are now at 12 with Dominic injured.
