My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
The lift/lower line is run to a cleat to the right of the angler on the groove track. It is easily reachable to lift and lower the rudder as needed while seated in the kayak.
I been wanting a Slayer max. I fell in love with the 2023 model. Really like the new upgrades to new model. Keep up the good work on improving something that is already great.
All the native propel series kayaks are great. I just wish they would ditch the under side mounted rudders and go with rear top mounted rudders like old town. People that fish alot of back waters and shallow waters like myself drag the kayaks and the rudder is in the way.
I like how he mentions that the kayak tracks really well but anyone who bought a Native Kayak before the upgrade to the spring blade rudder. We know this boat doesn't track well at all without it. The steering handle and rudder design on pre 2023 Native Slayer max and Titans have terrible tracking and steering. Its an extra $400 just to fix these issues with this Kayak. I love my Titan 10.5 but the issues I have are the steering and tracking. The other issue is you have to pay for a foam insert (drive box scupper plug $39.99) when its not in use. Having a motor on this kayak is the way to go but if you do not have the self draining scupper plugs (Native does not offer) and if you dont have the drive box scupper plug. There will be standing water in the Kayak. Its an awesome kayak that can be upgraded. Unfortunately the little stuff that I mentioned above need to be fixed. You shouldn't have to pay $40 for a drive box scupper or extra for steering and tracking. These should all be on the Kayak already.
We offer a motor mount plate that can be installed on the bow of the Slayer Propel Max 12.5 found here: nativewatercraft.com/collections/mounts/products/bow-mount-titans-and-max-125. This is made for a MotorGuide Xi3. We also offer a stern mount for any stern mounted motor found here: nativewatercraft.com/collections/mounts/products/motor-mount-transomtitan-105-and-12-slayer-max-10-and-125-slayer-xc
i absolutely love my 2020 Slayer max but i wish you had part more available. you all seem to be always out of stock on everything, besides scupper plugs.
I don't like that you phrase these are upgrades "to the 12.5 max" not these are upgrades FOR the max. You improved the rudder but you're going to charge customers extra instead of having that new feature included in the newest model? This is a crappy business model. Same with the new wheels, you have to buy the old system and purchase the improved no-air wheels separately. Why did you not touch on the power pole micro attachment in the back? Is there additional setup needed or is it sturdy enough in the two inserts that are in the kayak? Huge feature right there and you don't even mention it - mind-blowing...
At around 2:19 to 2:23 or so on the drive unit between the pedal shafts, can see a circle disk thingie with an open bolt hole. That hole is threaded. What is that threaded hole for? Should it have a plug to prevent water or debris from getting inside?
Thank you for your question! This is just a threaded 1/4-20 whole for accessory mounting. We primarily see this being used with a cell phone holder mount.
I like the look of this Kayak. Wondering how it goes in inshore semi-rough conditions. How would it handle beach/ wave launches and return? Like this. ruclips.net/video/dr3yNGRD9iA/видео.html. What's the possibility of a swivel seat?
My only problem and the one thing stopping me from buying this yak is the poor rudder control handle. Why does everyone have to upgrade it and that's not a cheap upgrade :(.

So do the no float wheels come with the sidekick now?
No, it is sold as an accessory here: nativewatercraft.com/products/sidekick-no-float-wheel-kit
Do they have one with a motor?

can’t get one in north new jersey 😢
Why such a large keel on the front? I'd be afraid that would be worn down or damaged easily.

I wish I could win a kayak so I can complete my mission in saving our beautiful waterways universe

If anyone wants to buy my 2022 Slayer 10 Max in CA with less than 10 outings, reply below.
Can't believe how hard it is to sell a like-new Slayer in CA.
