Great resource man. This information is not easily available online. Thanks to you I was able to strip down and restore my great grandfathers Ronson Starfire.
Thank you so much for all of your videos! Very helpful. I picked up 4 antique table lighters today, 2 Ronson, 1 Japanese, and another random. I was able to get all of them working!
Thank you so much, my Daughter inherited my Dads Ronson and I had to replace the flint…it all came apart and k had no idea how to get it back together, your easy explanation has saved the lighter and my Daughter (who now loves me again 🤗)
I had quite the time trying to put some of mine back together after repair, I could have used a video like this to help! Thanks for putting this information out there for others to see!
i bought a Queen Star from the 42s, it didnt work ultil i saw this video, u saved mi life and my reputation haha, thank u very much. This information is too hard to find on internet
I just bought a ronson sport lighter from an antique shop and it seems like it’s in pretty good condition. This was the first video I found and it was definitely super helpful. I just need to find parts for it. I’m not sure if you’ll see this comment, but, any recommendations?
I have an old cigarette lighter that is missing it's striker. It is an older round one that has a front nude of a woman and the reverse, her reverse. I believe it is made of brass and is in excellent condition. It is choice, but strikerless. The wick sticks up at about 1 o'clock and has a screw on/off cover. It does not look as if the wick has been used. I enjoy my lighter collection that my father began in the late nineteen fifties.
hello sir. recently got my hands on a ronson, i repaired it and cleaned a bit with the tools I had from doing circuit board related stuff. it looks and works a lot better, however when i hit the lever the snuffer does not go up 90 degrees like i believe its supposed to, only goes up about 45 degrees, and because of this there is no spark. would you say this is an issue with it not latching on to the striker wheel? that is what my inexperienced self believes, if you think otherwise let me know. i ordered a diamond needle file set off of amazon that comes in tomorrow, was planning to use it to try and sharpen the edges on the right side of the striker wheel so it will catch better, any thoughts on that would be appreciated. also I recently saw a youtube video of somebody lighting up a lighter called "the Fackel" by L.Russbacher. the torch detached from the main body which I thought looked amazing. could you tell me what this sort of lighter would be called? I dont know where or what to search to find one of my own. Thanks!
when my "long end is left" my cutout is also on the left. I put it back together and get 1 spark but it will not engage again. What spins the wheel backwards to create another spark? I wonder if mine is supposed to be on the left... Im gonna try it
@@DependableFlame I think that’s my problem. But where do you buy a new clutch spring and screws. I’m also missing the (forget part number) but male end to the front. Ugh so frustrating 😬

The Sport should be the same later style mechanism as the Whirlwind Imperial.✌️

Thank you, I just fixed an old Ronson case with built in lighter. Works like a charm.
Bravo... this helped me tremendously! Thank you for a very nice video tutorial!!!
Thanks for the video and sharing of your knowledge. It was extremely helpful to me repairing a Ronson butane lighter.
Great video.
Is there a store to buy new flint wheels for the Robson Princess lighter?
Thank you
Jim Muscato

Are you saying the lighter does not have a file wheel?✌️

Did you make the video on how to clear the flint tube? Or replacing the wick?
I cover it all in a three video series starting with this one:

ive rearranged the clutch spring so many different times no matter what I cant get the wheel working it refuses to spin
The clutch spring must be worn out or bent out of shape.✌️

Oh my god I was missing a part in a lighter I bought and didn’t even know it
Hello...
Good morning Thuan!✌️
