The "Pag" was all over Canadian radio in the early to mid 70's in French & English. For me his best song is "Some Sing Some Dance". Good reaction Harri.
Pagliaro, another great Canadian Band. They recorded their songs in French and English and were the first Canadian band to have both languages on the charts in Canada. Their first English song was on the charts in 1970," Give Us One More Chance". Beautiful song and memory. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Louie. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Oh Yeah! Montreal's very own PAG! Takes me back to so many Sunday car rides with my folks. PAG was all over the radio back then over here. This one's from 1972. His biggest hits were in French. We still see him once in a while at festivals. But mostly retired now. Good choice Harri! Check out Gino Vannelli, another great Montrealer.
Michel Pagliaro is a Canadian rock singer, songwriter & guitarist from Montreal, Quebec. He writes & records mainly in French but has had his biggest success with material released in English. Some of his hits were "Give Us One More Chance", "Lovin' You Ain't Easy", "Some Sing Some Dance", "What The Hell I Got" etc.
Pagliaro was big in Canada in the 1970s. I listened to him radio during my formative years and still love it when his songs come on. "What The Hell I Got" was a big hit for him, as was "Some Sing, Some Dance." I'm sure there's more, but my memory is failing me at the moment.
As others have commented, Pag was huge in Canada in the 70's and still loved today by that generation (and judging by comments on youtube on many of his songs, is acquiring new fans every day). I just looked to see if any of his hits here charted anywhere else - Loving You Ain't Easy hit the UK charts at #21. Love his songs, they remind me of a much simpler time.
Your channel is sooo refreshing! You don’t just copy all the other reactions like they all do to one another.👍❤️ Please do ❤️streetheart❤️under my thumb or here come the night! Then the look in your eyes , what kind of love is this . Canada where the best become unsung , soo many incredible bands up here!
later on he made 2 songs/videos i like: "L'espion" ( The Spy" ) and "Nous on fabrique des bombes" ( Us, we build bombs" ). I Think Pag stayed mainly in Canada" probably for music industry reasons. his main hit in French is :"J'entends frapper". for anyone interested here's the translation by me : Finding, finding I still hope to find Someone, someone Who could help me All those, all those I believed were my friends They have, they have letf me fall (by the wayside) I hear a knocking At last my chance has turned I'm happy to learn That everything is not over Rolling, rolling ( driving) It is albeit time to roll Nobody, nobody Can stop me Farther, farther Always this idea of going farther It's my, it's my Only reason to exist I hear a knocking And everybody wants to enter in here I'm happy to learn That it's not all over I hear knocking But I forgot nothing It's not only luck That will make us win United, united Here we are now reunited We are, we are All brothers The hand, the hand Yes, all hand in hand Let's go, let's go All share I hear knocking And all want to share It's not only chance/luck That brought them back I hear knocking But I forgot nothing It's not only chance That will make me win
Thank you for this. I just love that you react to so much Canadian content. For another great you may want to check out Freddy Curci with either band Sheriff (When I'm With You) or Alias (More Than Words Can Say, Haunted Heart). Few hits but one of the best rock voices ever!

Another good Canadain lad is Roch Voisine, singing Helene'. Of course you have to listen to Andy Kim (Baron Longfellow and Part of the Archies. You know, Sugar, Sugar.) How about Zappacosta singing, Nothing can Stand in Your Way. Include Ken Tobias in this group. His song Dream #2 is a personal favourite. Bruce Guthro sang a powerhouse song, Falling. If that song doesn't affect you in some way, you are dead!
Was that really necessary to stop the song ( for nothing ),and then start it again???? You should have waited til the song was over!! Totally ruined the vibe!

Saw Pagliaro in late 70s and last saw him about a year ago. He still got it man. Legend in Quebec. Should have been huge.

Great Canadian musician Great songs
Harry try WHAT THE HELL I GOT . I think you will like it.
the best song in my playlist
You have to play Loving You Ain't so Easy By Michael Pagliaro. One of my favourates.💓💓
later on he made 2 songs/videos i like: "L'espion" ( The Spy" ) and "Nous on fabrique des bombes" ( Us, we build bombs" ). I Think Pag stayed mainly in Canada" probably for music industry reasons. his main hit in French is :"J'entends frapper". for anyone interested here's the translation by me :
Finding, finding
I still hope to find
Someone, someone
Who could help me
All those, all those
I believed were my friends
They have, they have
letf me fall (by the wayside)
I hear a knocking
At last my chance has turned
I'm happy to learn
That everything is not over
Rolling, rolling ( driving)
It is albeit time to roll
Nobody, nobody
Can stop me
Farther, farther
Always this idea of going farther
It's my, it's my
Only reason to exist
I hear a knocking
And everybody wants to enter in here
I'm happy to learn
That it's not all over
I hear knocking
But I forgot nothing
It's not only luck
That will make us win
United, united
Here we are now reunited
We are, we are
All brothers
The hand, the hand
Yes, all hand in hand
Let's go, let's go
All share
I hear knocking
And all want to share
It's not only chance/luck
That brought them back
I hear knocking
But I forgot nothing
It's not only chance
That will make me win
Every French-language bar band in Quebec knows « J’entends frapper. »

Maybe you could check out April Wines."Like A Lover Like A Song live. I think you'll really like it.
An engineer and good equipment could do wonders.
