Damn, that 4000D deal is very tempting. I could use a case swap for my main PC, since I'm still using a 450D with a 7800X3D/7900 XT, and it's getting cramped with this newer GPU powered by a RM850x. My 6700 XT and 1070 Ti were so small in comparison, and I even have a Sapphire Pulse, which is a very small third party version as is.

I'm on the same boat, but tbh might not buy anything unless it reaches the 25% discount mark, and that's actual discount, not inflated newegg MSRP price comparison "discount". The new series are announced on january at CES IIRC.
I took a look at the known specs on the AMD 8000 series at Tech powerup. There are two models, the 8600XT and the 8800XT. The 8600XT has identical specs to the 7600XT, but it is smaller, and uses less power, plus it has a ray tracing engine. The 8800XT has identical specifications to the 7800XT, but it's smaller, using less power, and has a dramatic improvement in ray tracing. Clearly the 8600XT will be a step up from the 7600XT, and the 8800XT will be a step up from the 7800XT. Can the 8800XT keep up with a 7900XT? I doubt it, but it could be cheaper. There are no bad GPUs, only bad prices, as they say.
There is no way the 5090D will have the same hardware. They couldn't lockdown the firmware strong enough to prevent the China market from flashing them with fully capable firmware. Like you said, more than likely it will only have reduced AI accelerator hardware, so full 5090 raster performance, but anything AI related would be handicapped vs the regular 5090.
That means, in a couple of years, I'll be able to make a lot of money buying used 50 series GPUs and replacing the 16Gb chips with 24Gb chips, especially with the low VRAM amounts reported for midrange SKUs. Having an 18GB 5070 sounds way better than having a 12GB 5070, lol.
I personally ended up buying a surface pro 11 oled back in June or July (basically the month of release). It is ok as thin and light tablet like device with reasonable battery. Would I do it again if I go back, probably not anymore knowing the new intel cpus for laptops are basically as good and as efficient. Not surprising that they did not sell very well. Windows on arm is nothing like when apple switched to arm. They could have benefited a more competitive pricing. I think the base model should have been the X elite oled version with the same price of the base x plus lcd version for example in case of Surface Pro 11. Hopefully they will still get software support, I can’t afford to buy something like this in the next 3-4 years.

No one can tell for sure. It could definitely happen that prizes skyrocket again, especially with higher import costs, tarifs, general chip Crysis and higher production costs. The 40 series cards already getting retired and completely off the market before their corresponding 50 series release is a bad omen as well and normally means a worse price to performance is upcoming. I bought a 4080s just some days ago, because personally, I believe prices will be worse over the next months. Hopefully I'm wrong tho
How will the D China versions work? If the "power level" is always pegged to the 4090D level, then what happens with the 60 series, 70 series? It''l be a 4090D in drag but they charge new series pricing? That's a scam basically. Also, what happens when the xx90D of future series falls so far behind the equivalent 50 and 60 tier are faster that China's fake xx90 D card? is it me or there arent any deals this year?
Corporate greed and it's consequences
Firmware only i doubt that they'd crack that thing in a few days no way they could be the same hardware wise.
Simply disabling some features in firmware wouldn't allow it to bypass the sanctions.
@@Lurch-Bot if there's money to be made, you bet someone will crack that thing immediately.
Found it in the trash.....in a secure area..... Located in the Nvidia labs..... Under heavy security......
PSA: We know you are anxious to run a 5090, but a good home can still be easily found for your 4090 TI ...
what about new rtx 8000 gpus ?
He didn’t mention the QD-OLED for $399 on Amazon.
He found that 4090 Ti in the trash just moments after being told by his boss at Nvidia to throw it in the trash since they won't be produced. Odd coincidence.
Are we sure that 4090 Ti didn't 'fall off the back of a truck'?
great video as usual!
In my country (Brazil), it will cost 4 thousand dollars at least. With a minimum wage of 300 dollars xD xD

Given Intel's recent Raptor Lake/RLR disasters, I have to wonder if there was some kind of emergency last-minute changes to something in their Arrow Lake bios that wasn't properly tested before shipping them out.
Im half scared W4 ends up like Stalker2. Crossing my fingers CD Projekt pulls through.
I think W4 will be the end of them.

A good $200 gpu please Intel
Windows 11 24H2 is too buggy for me after trying a clean install for a couple of days. I restored my backup of 23H2 and locked it to that version with InControl.
Cant wait for the next steam hardware survey to say 0.0005% RTX 4090 Ti
Damn, that 4000D deal is very tempting. I could use a case swap for my main PC, since I'm still using a 450D with a 7800X3D/7900 XT, and it's getting cramped with this newer GPU powered by a RM850x. My 6700 XT and 1070 Ti were so small in comparison, and I even have a Sapphire Pulse, which is a very small third party version as is.
Can't wait for Battlemage to appear and hopefully make a strong splash to the market!
So wats happen on 29th will u get crazy discounts
i have a formd t1 case and im devastated that the 7900xt from xfx is supposedly too long. 619 for that kind of performance is nuts. at least in todays market
If only I could find a 4090 Ti in the trash too.
I’m just as excited for battlemage as i am the nvidia lineup. I hope intel can be a force in gpus. Xess showed they’ve got the talent.
3:00 imagine having this much lucky
crazy!
i always thought those 4090ti pictures are fake..
i wonder, can this guy install some custom drivers and then play with the card?
And why did Nvidea simply throw it into the trash?
As tempting the 5090D is, the price likely will make it a big cool down of Gear Acquisition Syndrome
If what do you think about supplied ching issues with the 50 series
7090xt now or wait for 8000 series? Hmm, I’ll need a new gpu by late February for monster hunter wilds
So the 7900XT is cheaper than the 4070 super now ..
Nowadays UE5 is stuttering broken piece of code. Depends on developers optimization it will stutter less or more....Sad news.
It doesn't stutter in the editor, probably mostly the game devs rushing games out
@@daedalus6433 It is a dev issue. UE5 isn't idiot proof like UE4 was.
I've had entire-system stutters and pc hard freezes while playing cyberpunk since the recent Windows update
Its not mine officir, I found it in the trash 😂
Do you think intel will actually make any big changes? If they do I am tempted.
3GB modules coming later, pretty much confirms a 24GB 5080Ti/Super basically. I'll wait for that to replace my 4080, thank you very much.
same but i just hope the price isn't insane
That means, in a couple of years, I'll be able to make a lot of money buying used 50 series GPUs and replacing the 16Gb chips with 24Gb chips, especially with the low VRAM amounts reported for midrange SKUs. Having an 18GB 5070 sounds way better than having a 12GB 5070, lol.
7900xtx or 4080 super?
Depends on prices in your country, what you want it for and if you care about ray tracing.
4080 super...it just works better
4070 TI Super is best
DLSS is too good to not go with Nvidia imo unless the deal is crazy
Hi sir.. do you think NVIDIA will make RTX 4060 Super 10GB in the future? since we don't have Super version for 4060...
40 series is done. Most of the remaining stock will likely disappear over the next couple of weeks.
@@Lurch-Bot, dude, no way. The RTX 50 series is expensive, and most people can't afford that. Unless the price lower than 40 series that will be make sense lol
The xfx speedster 7900xt is on aliexpress for $460. This has to be a scam right? Has anyone bought aliexpress gpus? Should I risk it?
No.
Unlike Jen Psaki, Daniel actually circles back.
Hey! I have a question, should I just buy a 4080 super right now or wait until the 5000 series comes out? I'm upgrading from a 3060 ti. Love your videos by the way.
Wait for 5000 series since it's just couple months away
@ Yeah, I was thinking that. I’m a bit worried about the price however. Plus I don’t even know if I’ll be able to snag one before they go out of stock.
Same for me man from 3060 ti but I will wait since my plan is just 4070 ti super.
I’d say wait it’s literally 2 months you’ll get better 4090 performance for like 1200$ at the cost of 16gb though. And you def need the extra power with these shit unoptimized games
RTX 4090 Ti has been cancelled by Nvidia CEO Boss
Would be ironic if CDPR were the first to properly implement UE5, lol. The UE5 issue is a developer issue, not an engine issue.
You could have a 7050 2x or 3x faster than China's 7090D fake card.

Intel: "We proudly disabled hyperthreading, it's trash, forget it even existed..." Also Intel: "well clearly something went wrong, not as we planned. We're gonna investigate that"
Intel didn't use HT because that's the only way they can make a CPU right now that maybe won't burn itself up. They didn't choose to do it, they were forced to do it.

Ah, ngreedia taking quiet steps. Samsung has a certain capacity for manufacturing memory, and it's limited. During the pandemic, if I recall correctly, they could not keep up. Now, they would also carry the burden of making memory for 5000 series cards.
