Rise was my first, but felt more like a tutorial of the franchise. GU opened my eyes to the previous canons, which they seem pretty easy so far aside from FU and 04.
Also, key tip whenever fighting Nerscylla: Whenever his poison fangs pop out, never run to the sides. Always forward, and if it seems too late, roll at the last second when they're about to attack
