Just wanted to let you know that I received the latest edition of ''Tuba Skinny and Shaye Cohn'' for one of my Christmas gifts....I'm half way through and thoroughly enjoying it.Very interesting reading...Great job. Happy New Year to all........................
@@brendamello2202 Thanks for those very kind words. I hope you will find that the band's 'Repertoire List' at the end of the book is up to date. I struggle to keep it so!
I was there that night. Todd had committed to another gig before TS got this one at Maison. That's why we see Max on the upright bass and the man with no name playing banjo.
Merci James! 😃
Yes, that is Max on bass. And Bill Bass answered the question as to why Todd was missing and the banjo player did not want me to give his name. Glad you enjoyed it. By the way I am returning to New Orleans next week to see Tuba Skinny, so more videos to be posted soon.
Brilliant ❤
Thanks, James. From 1955, by Dave Bartholomew and Fats Domino. It's a 16-bar [8 + 8] tune, played here in the key of A flat.

Merci je n’avais pas vu votre commentaire 😊
Right. Todd was playing at a wedding if I remember correctly and the banjo player asked to not be identified in the video. Strange fellow.
Great recording.
Brilliant audio.
Best wishes to you James.
