Bikeshed cafe racer trackday onboard my GS500 fast group, had a broken hand from a crash the weekend before so could not ride as well as i would have liked
Sad to see it die. Brilliant riding. all the bigger bikes are only able to catch you on the straight. How many mile did it do before it went pop? also, what gearing did you run, what oil did you use, have you made any mods in terms of hp increase? i'd love to know. I'm a big fan of gs 500. my first one lasted over 130k miles, commuting, always on the cheapest tesco's or asda's 10w40. Mine came to a gentle farting end, so engine might still be ok. fingers crossed. My second one is nearing 70k miles. long live gs500
Noooo!, you must re-build her!! That little GS is a legend...lol :) ps. Knowing absolutely nothing about your bike, I'm going to guess it was a cam-chain tensioner failure...
