It's a tough spot. It seems like for appointment in these roles one must forego their freedom of speech and expression even though it's said to be protected in our law. This was worrisome for me because Prof. Phooko indicated that there was an out of court settlement of the matter with UJ which was then made an order of the court and I'm certain under a lot of pressure on him too. He did well as a candidate though and I have much respect for him. I'm proud of him. Cry my beloved country!
The issue should have been raised during the panel selection process and not at that level, even Dr Hlophe issue. My issue also relate gross unprofessionalism from some panels, they were screaming at candidates, emotional, argumentative and imposing personal views into the interview enviroment rather than assist the panel to score each candidate evenly The exclusion criteria are supposed to have agreed before and all relevant stakeholders should took part Once JP's are included, all the criteria specifically should be applied evenly, how do you include worst performing JP and include worst one/s? If candidates are interviewed by work performing commissioners, how, does this respect the intergrity of candidates and each's ability to express themselves with convidence and authority The interview process was not ready to have been nade public, due to unpreparedness generally
infuriating to you....the public clearly doesnt care about that corrupt disgraced judge....what was going to be his contribution since he was impeached for trying to corrupt the judiciary?
We should also check the social media accounts of the Commissioners sitting on this panel.
😂 politicians bruvh

This was a very tough interview, I commend Professor Phooko for keeping his cool. Well done brother.
Hopefully the Prof will brush himself up and come back.
This is not fair to candidates.

This is infuriating since J Hlophe is somehow not allowed to participate

In which organisation would a fired employee participate in the appointment of their successor???
What would another corrupt politician add?
