This man will always protect traditional country. A true story teller just like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Don Williams.
Remember at the 1999 CMA, they wouldn't let George sing all of his song "CHOICES" so George stayed home. Alan started singing Pop A Top and stopped and sang all of George's song, "Choices". That was the coolest CMA award show ever!!!
Thats how traditional, real country is supposed to be. A singer telling a story that makes you believe what their saying. Can make you almost see it in your mind. Real country has a 'feel' to it that goes right into your soul and takes you on a journey. The way it was first brought to life in the mountains and hills of the old country living. Seems Nashville forgot where it came from.

I also recall seeing Alan Jackson at the CMA event cut his own song short in order to end with the George Jones song "Choices".
He did it out of respect for Jones...a LEGEND in country music who had been instructed to shorten the performance of his song.
I think that makes Alan Jackson quite a LEGEND himself...not to mention his still remaining faithful to what REAL COUNTRY MUSIC is.
You have to admire that.
@@blueshadow49 When Alan Jackson was still an 'unknown' he got to sing a song during the closing of a tv show, and he stood up in the audience, and sang George Jones "He Stopped Loving her Today." That is why that sound is SO strong with him. He also sang that same song at George's funeral.
Finally real country music, wish it was all like this.

Hi Mr 6676 i know how you feel i used to like country music and i used to watch in the past a show that used to be called gac great America country that was hosted by Suzanne Alexander and she would talk to the diffrrent country star's male and female and they showed music video's that used to be good but now how the state of country music is today country music sucks cause there is only a few real country singer's that are left in country music like Alan Jackson George straight Tracy Lawrence and josh Turner and now back in Nashville TN anything goes it's become a cesspool of trash and it's too political with dumbass demoncrats and left wing liberal's and half or more of the country star's or member's of the LGBTQhfdqcd freaks that are pathetic two faced lieing hypocrites that just because that they are married doesn't mean that they are gay or lesbian yeah right give me a break they live a lavender life and because they are rich they get away with it and I'm not going to name name's but now i don't like the people that i used to like and 8 don't listen to country 📻 or watch the country Awards show's anymore cause country music now has too many black people that's in it and now they have drag Queen's too yuk😝 no thank you I've got my country CDS to listen to

Isn't it pathetic that they still call the stuff coming out of Nashville country music? As a kid growing up in the 1990s, I thought it would be around forever. Alan, George, Doug Stone, Clint Black, Clay Walker, Reba, Aaron Tippin. Little did I know that was the last decade before Trashville pulled the plug.

What they try to pass of today as "country' aint even close! Real country tells a story, has emotion, makes you want to listen to this story teller and you can almost picture what their telling you. That is the true soul of real country music the way it was meant to be played. What their pushing out of Nashville now is assembly line manufactured crap that dosent sound anything like real country. I dont even recognize todays 'country'. But ThIS one...This song is the real country deal!!

This sounds so much like my parents growing up. I'm now 61 and still lucky to have both parents. Dad 81 & Mom 79 work jobs 5 days a week. They don't look nor act their age😊 We didn't have a lot but enough but they worked to make sure my sister & I didn't go without. I never saw my Dad cry till he was in his 78 when my son & wife lost their 1st son when she was 4 & 1/2 months pregnant. My Dad held him and cried. I had never seen him do that. This does sound like him. Thank you Alan ❣️

My dad passed away 3 years ago. He was such a Alan fan! And I rushed to get every new release by Allen for him. I’d call and ask mom “what dad doing? “ and she would reply “ he is sitting at the table singing with Allen!” And i new he had the CD player loaded with Allen Jackson CDs.

Thank You for all the great music over the years Alan. My Wife and I saw you in concert at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, in 2002 on our Honeymoon.
Along with Trisha Yearwood and a up and coming new artist, Keith Urban. Now Merritt is completely flooded and the town evacuated, due to major flooding in south western British Columbia. Man, if we could turn back time. 🙂🏍🇨🇦

What's worse is I also lost my son too in an auto accident he was 34 yrs old 💔😢 I lost them both 4 mos apart. I've been a widow for 23 yrs now. Your music always lifts me up when I'm down. I had your songs played at both of there funerals Amazing Grace. My daddy loved that song too like I do. Thanks again for a fantastic Album we truly needed it after this awful pandemic but its so good knowing you all are back on the roads again. Always keeping it Country. Im a notherner who had a Georgia roommate in college 20 yrs ago. I first heard Alan Jackson when the album Drive came out. I was 21. I worked on my car in a southern auto mechanics shop for years down the street from college listening to this. I forgot about him for almost 19 yrs. last year i listened to over 100 hours of his music. He is my favorite artist now. My children love him too and they are very young. Bless Alan Jackson.
