I know this video may be heavy on the information and fast paced in some parts, so please feel free to leave a question if you have any! Thanks for giving this a watch! (I spent like a month on this 😭)
You explained everything as clear as a low PWAT day. Even I who have been playing for a fairly long time, you cleared some of the questions i had. Amazing video man.
I actually knew the majority but I was bored and decided to watch this, this video did help me understand hodographs, which I never understood! Very nice video, I'm sure this will help people who just started playing.
Wait dang this was a great video. Editing skills are 🔥 People definitely underestimate the “lower end” days. I haven’t had many EF5s, only 2 (I love twisted but I don’t play very often just from chasing irl and other life stuff) but those 2 EF5s happened back to back on an enhanced and moderate risk. Both just happened to hit Hazelton lol. Obviously from probing and DOW we know 200+mph tornadoes aren’t really all that uncommon (and irl for that matter), but those higher end risks will give you many more, which last longer, increasing the chances of hitting an EF5 DI
I feel like any time its not a high day, all I hear is "its not worth chasing" on public servers. Then a hazel slabber pops up and everyone is like surprised pikachu haha
this video is great for literally any skill level on this game, great for beginners to learn, great for experienced players to review or have questions answered.
Man great video! Listening to you talking about chasing on a slight day is refreshing. Every time I'm on a public server on any day thats not a high day all I hear is "Its not worth chasing." haha I just subbed. Hope to see you chasing one of these days!
I will say, while low cape will almost definitely ensure a weak storm, the key word is almost. Just yesterday the cape was about 750 and it ended producing the strongest nado ive seen in the game so far, made me almost 4k from each of my probes, and I measured windspeeds upwards of 220!
For a shorter version: Get a high risk, make sure everything is balanced, and one thing doesn't overpower the other. Thats how I do it and it works almost 100% of the time
Amazing video helped me so much! I am curious on the hodograph though, how do you tell if a tornado will be deviant and long tracked, i know you explained this but i still dont understand it that well Edit: Just watched it again, and im clarifying, a longer straighter-ish hodograph means a longer more violent and less deviant path?
Usually when referring to upper air data, metric is used as it’s easier. At the surface, since the game takes place in the US, the surface data is in imperial
Don’t worry, for those who don’t want to forecast and have to deal with numbers, just look at the overall risk level for the given day. Aim for Moderate/High risk days
@@alferwxproductions this is not a NWS guide, and I got the idea around two months ago. Perhaps I could do a short video on the NWS role in Twisted tho 👀

hi tofu
I was literally about to ask the Twisted DC on a good video and this popped up on my feed. Very clear and good video, and it cleared up SO much stuff.

13:30 lower risk days can indeed be lots of fun to chase!
Absolutely!
I love low risk! It makes the infercepts feel so much better when they're short lived and shift a lot
Finally, a guide for thermos

thank you man, i kept on asking random people what SRH, 3CAPE, 0-3LAPSE, 3-6LAPSE, and the Relative Humidity, now i know it thanks to you

oh yeah, i needed this. a scientific guide of Twisted, absolutely rad
Thank you so much you made this game 10x easier to understand Edit: You earnt a new subscriber for the help.
This was a beautiful and well put together video. Sir please congratulate yourself on a job well done. Thank you for helping me understand it better!
i dont even have to go to college anymore, this video teaches me everything i need to know 😄😄😄
Very Well done video man you explained mainly everything in very well detail aswell as making it entertaining at the same time!
Thanks for the info as a new player this is so confusing before
Ahhh, tysm for making this!! I've been playing this a lot recently, and this really helped :))
absolute cinema
and heres a thing, any risks cause violent tornadoes, just need good thermos FYI
Yes, any risk can produce violent tornadoes, I just say in the video that higher risks are more efficient at producing them
W video ngl (also I love this view 0:44 because the modulator in it)
This is insanely well made. Great work. 🔥🤘

Yes, if hodographs are straighter and longer, with high SRH, then more straight path violent tornadoes are possible
@@OHWXisgaming thanks!
Very good video! You really didn't miss anything!
also you made the effects of the thermos very clear, it helped me understand the specifics of each value better in terms of twisted
Thanks!
As a storm chaser I can read the forecast IRL and In twisted and know what it means and know what it is
Thanks, i've learned a lot, ur the best!
I needed this so much ty 😭😭😭😭
Time to hunt down an ef6 now 😼 (it will not end well 😭🙏)
Just one thing, what parameter will I use to know whether a day can produce a wedge type tornado?
Thank you now I know and i do accurate predictions
A GUIDE FOR HODOS!!!!!!! 💯💯
what tornado was used in the thumbnail?
amazing video
Maybe might try the game sometime?
TYSM FOR THIS
Any tips on the NWS job I can never make money from it
Do you play on public servers? I need to chase with you.
I do every now and then
The only problem this game gives me is tornadoes not having wind fields.
I can have a probe a few hundred feet away and have a gust of like 25sps
Why do thermos have imperial and metric values instead of just separating them? I feel that's weird
Usually when referring to upper air data, metric is used as it’s easier. At the surface, since the game takes place in the US, the surface data is in imperial
