Hey, if I wanted to remove de IR filter from the sensor, do you think the camera would still work? I just bought this camera and I was thinking about making it full spectrum, but i didnt find any tutorial. Do you think, from the knowledge you have, there is a way to remove the filter?
Thank you for sharing this very useful and well explained video. I would like your help if possible since I cannot connect the camera to my computer to extract the photos, since when I turn on the camera it immediately turns off again due to this problem with the lens error, do you know if there is any way to force the camera to turn on, even though the lens is damaged and prevent the camera from automatically turning off? Best!
@@watdahel thanks for answering! yes, even if you press the play button instead of turning on the camera, the camera tries to extend the lens, which causes the error and its immediate shutdown. what I want to extract are photos stored in the internal memory of the camera, not on external cards... does this make sense and could it be achieved in some way?
@@watdahel Thanks, I tried taking the card out and inserting it into an adapter for my MacBook Pro but it was empty... Maybe I should try again on a specific camera card reader... That's why I thought the photos still stay inside the camera ...
You have way more skill and patience than I have. Congrats.
You can do it!

It can be done. Others have done this.

Have you tried just pressing the play button to view picture? You can also buy a memory card reader.

The camera uses a memory card. Take it out and put in a card reader.

If there are pictures in the card they may be in a folder named DCIM. You can also put it in another canon camera. Doesnt have to be same model
What kind of screw driver are u using? My camera doesn't have screws.
