  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) have a professional and ethical responsibility to practice within the relevant laws governing privacy and confidentiality of patient information. This means all LPNs have the duty to safeguard a patient’s personal and health information as well as respect a patient’s right to privacy. LPNs are ultimately responsible for determining and understanding which piece of privacy legislation helps fulfill this commitment.
