The Goose Goes South: Leaving Newport RI - Drone Farewell

The Goose Goes South. I’ve spent the last two years fixing up an old Grand Banks trawler. Tenley’s completed 15 months of chemo, surgery, and radiation for breast cancer. The last of three van der Wal kids graduated from college. We’ve been in business for 35 years… it’s time for an adventure.
The first part of the journey from October to December starts through Long Island Sound to New York City then on to Annapolis. From there we join the intra-coastal waterway and spend approximately a month taking it to Charleston in time for Thanksgiving. The next stop is Palm Beach where we will prepare for our crossing to the Bahamas. The goal in the new year is to spend January, February and March exploring the archipelago before we make our way north again in April… Stay tuned. We’ll see if this all goes to plan…
