I mean it makes sense, way back in Holos infancy, their biggest channels were all ASMR focused. Choco sen at one point was their biggest talent until RUclips cracked down on ASMR. It's probably also the fact that I don't think Matsuri has done ASMR for quite some time so fans were probably excited for some new content.
Some people just like hearing a pretty voice whisper nice things to them. I don't member just for ASMR streams, but I woke up at 3am one day, unable to sleep, and saw Lamy was doing an ASMR where she was just saying nice things, and oh man it was an experience where I could get to sleep no trouble at all.
I will say, I found Matsuri's AMSR very good. It wasn't overly frilly or complicated, it was just soft comfy Matsuri sounds. And she stayed at cute flirting, which I know a lot of people appreciated.
The thing that gets me the most is that Matsuri acted surprised on why her viewers would join the membership for that XD You know what your viewers like.
To be accurate, and to set expectations right - Matsuri's ASMR would be considered provocative, rather than lewd, even if you take into account the things she says in it. There are really lewd ones out there (explicit sfx and items used), and so she is still skimming the (safe) surface. It's not a bad thing since Matsuri is using her voice to sell the experience, which everyone listening would pine for.
@@stab74 She doesn't do lewd ASMR per say, but I would also recommend Rizuna. She does ASMR while in cosplay. She's cosplayed a lot of Hololive girls, and some of her cosplays are. . . nice to look at.
Ohhh, now I see why a few ASMR streams were 15min or so for some reason. I had no idea they could set part of a stream to be members only. I would have never found out if it wasn't for this clip. ... now I can't trust any streams. Damn. The worst part is that I can't read JPN nor I have the money to join any memberships, so I will never find out even if am paranoid that I am missing out. ;w;
this one at least was basically 2 separate streams, first 17 min was public and the rest was a different stream set to member's only now I'm not sure if YT allows timegating on the same stream
