Hang on to your car. If I were you I'd enjoy it sparingly and appreciate it for the milestone car that it is. C5 Z06 cars are appreciating at an alarming rate if you're looking to buy one, and a delicious rate if you already own one. Your low mileage car is a special car indeed! The reasons for some of your complaints are driven by weight savings-- the spartan trunk for example, or the FRC roof are all about weight savings. The huge piece of glass and lift back assembly on the coupe weighs a lot more than the fixed roof with the small rear window. Speaking of glass and weight savings, both the windshield and rear glass are thinner than the coupe's glass. Consider the weight savings of the titanium exhaust! Do you research !! You're in possession of a significant and increasingly valuable Corvette. I would suggest you embrace it for both it's strengths and weaknesses and take comfort in knowing you own an important and very valuable example of Corvette history. CHEERS!
If you lift up the trunk lid they are two rubber pads on the lid in the top two corners. You can twist them so the come out. Twist them all the way out and thread them in slightly. It should help pop the trunk lid up more when you open it.
as someone who drove a manual that i could barely feel the bite point on, the on off-ness of this clutch sounds great. I also think I would prefer a notchy shifter to a loose/sloppy feeling shifter but no personal experience with a super notchy shifter just always thought me and my friends car felt pretty sloppy?
Anti venom mod will fix your shifter notchiness. Also they make a delete for the 1-4 shift. You can get both of those problems fixed at the same time since you have to jack the car up and do the fix on the trans
The car is not practical. It’s a track car. The roof design is the convertible design. The hatch is heavier. Your C5 handles better and it’s faster than other C5’s.
Hey, man. If you pop the truck, then close the driver or passenger door it'll pop it up more so that your fingers can slide under it and grab it better. MOST times. Yeah, it's annoying AF!!! LOL. 😀

To open the trunk better pop it then ues driver door open then close it will lift the trunk hood
